On Thursday, April 27th Morse HS/Bath Tech hosted a Hiring Fair for all students. 20 area businesses participated in the event to share and discuss their employment opportunities with students. It was a great opportunity for students to interact with employers and discuss opportunities. The student engagement was impressive and met our expectations. Several employers had lined up at least 2-3 students for potential employment. One employer mentioned how impressed she was by the “respectful and professional conduct of our students.” We appreciate the students' participation, as well as our community business partners who attended to make this event successful. -JMG & ELO

JMG junior and senior students are engaged in a pilot project on entrepreneurship with Thomas College. Last week the junior/senior students shared their entrepreneurial ideas and visions for their own entrepreneurship with our local entrepreneurs. Thank you to our incredible community of supporters who took the time to listen to the students' ideas and provide critical feedback that will help the students grow their idea into a business plan.

Continuing our promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals today we feature this student work for SDG #15~Life on Land.

01/05/2021

Students engaged in a little friendly competition by designing reusable water bottles as a way to promote the 5-2-1-0 Let's Go! campaign and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Reusable water bottles address the Life on Land, Life Below Water, and Responsible Use and Consumption goals while supporting Good Health and Well-Being. One of the goals of the Let's Campaign is to consume zero sugary drinks and replace them with water and milk. Thank you to Mid Coast Hospital and 5-2-1-0 Let's Go! for the funds to support this endeavor. Pictured below is the winning design of the water bottles. The water bottles are available free of charge for a student in need.

Socially distant teambuilding goes digital. Students worked collaboratively to complete a digital jigsaw puzzle of the JMG logo. They learned the importance of creating a plan to achieve a common goal. During the debrief portion they discovered that just like a jigsaw puzzle we, as individuals, are made up of many different pieces that make us who we are.
