Are you looking for the perfect soup recipe to help boost your immunity this season? We have just the thing - the most delicious Roasted Cauliflower & Chicken Soup! π²
I N G R E D I E N T S :
1 Whole Chicken
Rosemary
Sage
Thyme
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
1 Cauliflower Head
2 Fennel Bulbs
2, 8 oz packages of Mushrooms
2 Diced Onions
Olive Oil
Water to boil
2-3 Cans of Coconut Milk
I N S T R U C T I O N S :
Boil a whole chicken in a pot with rosemary, sage and thyme
While that is cooking, chop up one large head of cauliflower, two bulbs of fennel and spread it across a cookie sheet with sliced mushrooms and diced onions. (You might need two cookie sheets) Coat with olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Put it in the oven to roast at 350. Cook until the cauliflower starts to brown. When it's done, take it out and set it aside.
When the chicken is cooked, take it out of the pot, pick it apart and return the meat to the pot with the stock you made. Add the roasted vegetables to the pot.
Add 2-3 cans of coconut milk. Salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!

These microbes can be beneficial or detrimental, and are dependent on the state of your gut.

-Vitamin C π(citrus fruits, tomatoes, broccoli, peppers)
-Vitamin D π(salmon, eggs, fish oils, milk)

Did you know that working out can help you build immunity? Exercises such as pilates, running, or even lifting weights can cause changes in antibodies, as well as white blood cells within the body (WBC's help fight off disease). Because your blood is flowing more rapidly, your body is able to detect diseases much faster. What's your favorite way to get your blood pumping πͺ?

Why is sleep so important when building immunity? When you sleep, your immune system releases cytokines. These are proteins that increase when there is an infection within the body, or when you're under stress. In order to fight off these infections, you need to get enough sleep to help produce more of these cytokines.
How do I build immunity π€?
There are many ways to build immunity, and a lot of stigma regarding "what" should go into the body to help support it.
The thing is, there isn't a simple fix, or one single supplement to instantly achieve immunity. Building immunity takes time β°, and consistency π―.
