Meet Myra and Bella! Myra is a long time friend of Second Chance, as a volunteer and adopter. She regularly attends our Sunday afternoon adoption events at PetSmart. Here she is spending time with Bella, one of our newest pups. Bella is under a year old, less than 10 lbs., active and playful, sweet and lovable, good with other dogs. She's just getting spayed on Monday, 8/26 so she will be officially available for adoption after her recovery from surgery. Meet Raquel and Ollie! Michelle is a Second Second Chance Dog Rescue La board member and a previous adopter and long-time volunteer and foster! She is currently fostering this little bundle of cuteness! Ollie is currently available for adoption to the right home. He is young, just over 6 months, neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines. He is loving and very entertaining. He's also tiny so we will be looking for an adult only home. Meet Maggie and Dusty! Maggie is a regular, faithful volunteer who works really hard as a Sous Chef at a local restaurant but still enjoys volunteering on Sunday afternoons (her ONLY day off!) She's spending some time here with Dusty, a long term foster with Second Chance. We don't know why this sweet boy has been overlooked. He's gentle but playful with other dogs, people friendly, neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. HAPPY TAILS UPDATE: CONGRATULATIONS to the Curry family, our friends, volunteers, fosters, and repeat adopters, on their adoption of these sweet siblings, Sierra and Jethro. The Currys have fostered these two since we pulled them from LPAS last August after they were pulled from a hoarding situation along with eleven others. The Currys have seen them through spay and neuter, vaccines, training, socialization, and regular visits to adoption events where these two were overlooked time and time again. Well alot of 'lookers' missed out on these smart, sweet pups! But we know they are where they should have been all along! They are HOME!!! Safe, loved, happy, at home! Thank you, Curry family for choosing to adopt and happy, happy tails, Sierra and Jethro!

Our beautiful Labradoodle, Gypsy, is the go-to playdate for her foster mom’s Petsitting clients’ pups. Here Gypsy is enjoying her regular romp with her Standard Poodle friend. Gypsy is active but also great with other dogs of all sizes.
