Sherman & Balhoff Specialists in Orthodontics

In August, Dr. Sherman had the opportunity to travel to Chalco Girlstown Mexico for a four-day medical mission & pilgrimage with 16 medical/dental professionals!

Founded in 1991 by Ven. Al Schwartz and the Sisters of Mary, Chalco Girlstown program has been caring for young girls, giving them a promising future to break the cycle of poverty.

The school has the capacity to care for 3,500 girls, who Dr. Sherman and the rest of the medical mission were able to serve. They provided essential oral care such as cavity treatment, tooth extractions, and cleanings.

It is a gift to care for our community on a daily basis, and an even greater gift when we get to share this care with those around the globe who are affected by poverty. 🦷🌎

How to get out of wearing your retainer: you can’t!🐬

Wearing your retainer is imperative to maintaining your treatment after your braces are removed. Not wearing your retainer will cause your teeth to shift, which is not what we want to happen after putting in all the work to craft your perfect smile!

So don’t forget, wear that retainer!
