St. Paul Early Learning Center
NOW ENROLLING! St. Accepting ages 6 weeks to Preschool age.
Paul Early Learning Center is an early childhood program which provides the highest quality childcare in a nurturing supportive environment by addressing each child as a unique creation of God.
Wednesday afternoon was fun. Many were in the kitchen cooking hotdogs and making other delicious food. One arranged several plates with lemons and other food items. One pre-school gal built a race track and some simply observed. Have a great evening everyone!
This afternoon at St. Paul the toddlers and preschoolers enjoyed dancing to Animal Freeze and finding their favorite number and we practiced the song "It's Raining Tacos" since tomorrow is Taco Tuesday. They had a great time. Enjoy your evening!
Friday was a good time. Afternoon play--a bit hot but they all stayed well hydrated. Sliding, pretending to wash their hands, and driving around. Inside, they lined up the babies and were pretending to read to them, and take care of them. Adorable.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Saturday Summer Family Gathering-here are more pictures from this special gathering. There was lots of good food, conversations, and play.
On Saturday, July 27th--families and children gathered along with the staff of St. Paul to enjoy a summer family gathering. We are thankful to all the children who attended and to parents that helped prepare wonderful food. A great time was had by all.
more pics to come. Happy Tuesday.
Well-new board is up and ready for many adventures in learning, imagining, playing, hearing stories, and lots of song and dance.
The toddler are ready for their morning activities and some wobblers went to the gate to tell me hello and we sang of course.
Happy Thursday Everyone.
They cannot resist Pizza Rolls and Orange slices!
Polka music came on and she just danced away today!
Friday!! Popsicles are always enjoyed by the toddlers and preschoolers. During outside play, well- Surprise-POPSICLES! Today, they also did a lot of color activities from Legos to the Honey Bear Pots. A few lined up later to draw on the white board and then erase their drawing. They love drawing on it and sharing what they drew. The Pigeon book emerged again because it is one of their favorite books as well as Where the Wild Things Are and a book called DIRT. We are preparing as well for the 4th of JULY. Cheers to the Red, White and Blue.
Have a great weekend.
♥️ you totally got this 👌
First, we crawl and follow each other and then we find a friend and do Ring Around the Rosie.
Thursday was full of fun activities and learning. The Taco Truck seriously stays rather busy, and they have learned to order and pay for their order (fake money) of course. Building, Dot making while counting and seeing the numbers 1-10 and outside play is always fun. They went over colors and ABC flash cards too.
The Preschoolers learned a lot with their tabletop activities and were taught about Stranger Danger-Who is a stranger? What to do if encountered by a stranger--be cautious, and don't listen to them. They were talk life skills regarding staying safe if a stranger approaches. They also worked on 4th of July crafts. It required lots of red dots and focus.
What a wonderful day thus far and enjoy your afternoon and evening.
Monday, Monday--Oh Oh--so many things going on. The toddlers love the fishing activity game that combines focus in catching the fish and these little Fish teach color and letters of the alphabet. Later, Circle time started, and they danced to Animal Freeze and Baby Shark and they also sang many other songs. Many built with the building blocks, and one discovers a small Tea Bag in the little Teapot. Later this week, Jellyfish will be emerging art wise and we will be focusing on the 4th of July as well since it is right around the corner.
Have a great afternoon and evening!

Friday was fun at St. Paul. As one can see, a few are learning how to push the button on the water dispenser--watched and helped them if they could not get the water to come out. Circle time, Shape Game, Caterpillar ride and painting--it was a great day.
Have a great weekend everyone!
A few more pictures of our Thursday at St. Paul--Hula hoop maze created by two toddlers. During show and tell, one toddler said Avocado---color is green this week, but she looked at the bottle and said -clearly- Avocado. Others learned from seeing the STOP and GO signs-as to what to do when you do see them. Then we played I Spy--I spy a watermelon sign. Please try and find it. It did not take them long. WooHoo.
Thursday, Thursday, what can I say? Well, toddlers were introduced again this morning to Mr. Thumbkin and it is a great song for teaching about our fingers and THUMB and a great opening song for How are you doing today? Outside play was full of mazes with hula hoops, sliding and riding around. Spaghetti was for lunch and trust me, those kiddos LOVE Ms. Pam's spaghetti.
This is a glimpse of the day. Green is the color of the week and so hey, let's all paint our Green Cricket. This was the first phase of making their cricket. And they learned that only male crickets chirp, and they can jump quickly due to their strong back legs. Some crickets are GREEN but many are various colors. Crickets are insects-therefore coldblooded. They need to be in warm weather to have the energy to chirp. In some cultures, crickets are a sign of GOOD LUCK (in Japan and China).
Hey. I just was passing through today and saw the toddlers doing some interesting things. Me, well I am a wobbler, but I am quite good at observing and learning. Have a good night, everyone!
Call to take a tour at 960-1264.
Many toddlers and preschoolers love to build. Here are some pics of today.
Taco Tuesday continues with more photos of the day. Yes, they did have delicious soft tacos for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed their lunch. But, earlier today, they colored using crayons and had to press much harder since crayons are much different than washable markers. Others made things with magnets and Legos and one was adamant about mopping. Songs were sung during circle time like: Ba Ba Black Sheep, Baby Shark, 5 Little Ducks. Some nursery rhymes were heard, and they do require motion: Hickory Dickory Dock and Where is Mr. Thumbkin? We always enjoy Humpty Dumpty too.
Today-Three toddlers completed their SQUARE robot heads with square eyes. And they picked their colors and drew on them and pointed to show where they wanted the materials to go. Basically, each designed their robot heads. ROBOT, ROBOT. One named her robot Rosie after the one on the Jetsons (cartoon). This is one way to teach shapes and be creative at the same time.

Sharing a cute recipe you may want to try at home
Today, we also reviewed the traffic light and the colors and what they mean. Some enjoyed cooking up some casseroles in the outdoor kitchen and then after lunch nap time. They each get to look at a book before heading to sleep. Have a great evening everyone!
Monday was fun and new things have begun at the start of a new week. The book Mama has become very popular, and the kids love it. It is based on a true story about a Hippo getting separated from his Mama during a Tsunami but the book ends well. Also, Toddlers began focusing on the a new shape-Square- so some robot heads are in the works. They also enjoyed outside play and later had me draw on the white board, and they had to guess the images (Clouds, birds, and yes-Herman the Worm). Why did Herman grow so large-- well, he ate, 1 grape; 2 apples; 3 oranges; 4 melons; and 5 watermelons. And this week our fruit of the week is Watermelon and our color is GREEN.
Wishing all DADS a very Happy Father's Day !
We did it. We made a collage on our Triangles. FUN time.
Happy Friday and Happy Father's Day to all the dads. Thanks for attending Donuts with Dad today too. We hope you enjoy your weekend.
Today, the toddlers and preschoolers did alot. Some decided to stuff the bus with dinosaurs and others enjoyed catching fish. Outside play was nice. The toddlers played the Hula hoop path game and rode around outside alot and took a break too. They love to see the cats outside the fence that seem to be near the trees daily.
Shapes were talked about today and primarily the Triangle. So, hey, they made a triangle collage.
Preschoolers colored crabs and played the RUG game.
Now, I am sure they are LOVING the 1st Splash Day this afternoon.
Again, thankful to all parents who chose St. Paul and may your Father's Day be wonderful.
Call to tour 225-960-1264.
Today we had a good breakfast--scrambled eggs and cheese toast and later we played the Flip a Card game. One turned over the Hippo.
Happy Thursday. Today, there was a lot going on with preparing for special gifts --yes-Father's Day gifts. Several enjoyed playing outside too. We are still counting to 10 and learning to recognize the numbers 1 through 10. Also, the FLIP a CARD game was something new today. The toddlers flipped a card and had to name the animal. The only one I think they had never seen was an ELK.
Preschoolers still enjoy drawing and a few images of their art featured here.
Please call 225-960-1264 to Take a Tour.
Also, the book of the DAY was The Louisiana Alphabet book--showing Gumbo, Beignets, Crawfish and Corn and many other images.
