The Top Ladies of Distinction, Nonpareil Chapter is located in Baton Rouge, LA and was chartered on February 26, 1983. The chapter strives to serve youth, women, and senior citizens and enhance the quality of their lives. PROGRAM OF WORK

Nonpareil Chapter, NAACP Project in partnership with The Baton Rouge Delta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.βs Social Action Committee, and 16 women-led organizations participated in When She Leads, Runs, Votes. Phenenomal event focused on Voter Registration, Voter Mobilization, and Voter Empowerment!
Top Ladies of Distinction, Nonpareil Chapter in partnership with The Baton Rouge Delta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.βs Social Action Committee, and 16 women and women-led organizations from the Greater Baton Rouge area with a total of over 3,500 members, is pleased to announce When She Leads, Runs, Votes.
Join us at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, for an insightful event focused on Voter Registration, Voter Mobilization, and Voter Empowerment!
This event is free and open to the public at Baton Rouge Community College's Magnolia Performing Arts Theatre located at 201 Community College Drive, Baton Rouge, LA.

Congratulations to two of our former Top Teens who made their debut with Baton Rouge Delta Development Corporation. Emerson Wilson was crowned Queen. She also received the 1st place scholarship award and will attend Xavier University. Lanai Scott was a princess, and received second place fundraiser award, and Miss Congeniality. She will attend Louisiana State University.

As back to school quickly approaches Nonpareil sends a big shout out to our amazing Top Teens and all of the wonderful things experienced this summer.
Special shout out to Top Teen President Kaila Anthony and Top Teen Naima Wilson. These teens attended the Vivien Coe Richardβs Leadership Academy in Savannah , GA at Savannah State University. The academy was held July 14-20. The teens were chosen from among 99 applicants to join 23 other teens from across the country. This academy is S.T.E.A.M. focused. ππ©Ά
Special thanks to The Honorable Councilman Darryl Hurst - Metropolitan Council District 5 for honoring Nonpareil Chapter at the Metropolitan Council meeting for exemplary service provided to the community and the annual signature fundraiser Hats On. Top Ladies received a special Proclamation of Recognition. π

Nonpareil Community Beautification and Top Teens participated in the Love the Boot campaign recently with two days of service. Day 1 members and teens were at Alpine Community Garden painting the tire planters in Southern University colors.
Day 2 of Love the Boot was just as fun at Scenic Highway Cleanup. Members picked up 7 orange bags of trash and debris and also dropped off 3 bags of cans and bottles to be recycled that was collected!
Top Ladies March of Dimes Project and Top Teens recently joined the movement by participating in
the March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement walk.
By participating in March for Babies, Top Ladies let everyone know that they are helping to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.
Nonpareil Chapter Senior Citizens Committee recently volunteered at Council on Aging Senior Skip Day 3.0. 2000lbs of Shrimp, corn, potatoes, fried chicken, smoked chicken, pasta, nachos, and so much more was served. Such a great time was had.
The Status of Women Thrust of Top Ladies of Distinction, Nonpareil Chapter - partnered with the Jewel J. Newman Center in Scotlandville to host an event focusing on mental and physical health for senior citizens. Led by guest speaker and chapter member Lady Porsche Uche, the seniors engaged in discussions on key elements for thriving mentally and physically. Door prizes were given to show continued support for the seniors, making it a memorable day. This collaboration highlights the commitment of the Top Ladies of Distinction to community service and senior well-being.
Meet one of our Hats on Honorees Evangelist Stephanie Dixon. Stephanie Dixon is the wife of Rev. Donoval Dixon Sr. She is a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Willie Green, Jr. She is a member of the Evangelism team, Sunday School teacher and volunteer with the Zachary Kiwanis Club. Members of Staus of Women recently attended the annual Mission Heart Gala. Mission Heart, one of our community partners, provide effective, high quality, faith-based addictions services, resources and support to women seeking recovery from substance abuse. They provide necessary support and nurture to those in need, and create an atmosphere in which women can develop into confident, capable, healthy contributing members of our local community. π
