Veteran Advocacy Club at the Louisiana State University Law Center
You don't have to be a veteran to get involved! We are proud LSU Law Students who want to collaborate to serve those who have served.
In honor of Veterans Day please visit Chick-fil-a on Burbank between 4-10 and say you’re with LSU Law. Proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
With our heartfelt thanks, we recognize the LSU Law Veteran Advocacy Executive Board of 2020. These individuals navigated a year with obstacles as COVID-19 threw new challenges to overcome for how to host events throughout the year in accordance with our mission of advocating for veterans. Today, they executed their last planned event, a presentation with Louisiana Judge Childress on Veteran Treatment Courts. Thank you to all six of these hardworking students for the time they have given this club in the past year. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, and we can’t wait to see what all you will do! We’re excited to see where Rob and Jolonda take us this next year as they continue on in leading this club! 🇺🇸⚖️
Our members are attending Student Veterans of America’s National Convention today and tomorrow! Although it is virtual, we’re excited to interact with everyone and learn more about ways to advocate with and for Veterans!

~National Purple Heart Day~
The Purple Heart medal is presented to service members who have been wounded or killed as a result of enemy action while serving in the U.S. military. The Purple Heart is the oldest military award still presented today, as it was originally known as the Badge of Military Merit created by George Washington in 1782. General Douglas MacArthur is credited with redesigning and naming the award in 1932 to what we know it as today. We thank all those who have received the Purple Heart for their selfless service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸💜
