Such a fun project for our guys. They really knocked it out the park with this water jet tank for Lamons.
You probably know that adding a truck bed cover to you ride will make transporting things more convenient. Care to guess which type of cover the experts consider the easiest to install? Although there is some debate, high marks go to the tonneau style soft roll up cover.
You do not have to settle for a one-look-fits-all cargo box for your pickup. There is a wide range of colors and configurations available to match or complement any vehicle. While you may have a working truck, it does not have to have an industrial look to it.
If you’re like many truck owners, you may take pride in the appearance of your truck. Since many prefabricated truck bed liners only come in a few colors, choosing a spray on liner could give your more freedom of expression.
A tonneau cover can be either a hard or a soft cover for the bed of your pick-up, but they serve the same purpose: to keep the items in your truck bed out of sight and protected. Soft covers offer weather protection, while hard covers offer both weather and theft protection.
If you're carrying a heavy load and it shifts, it could do more than scratch your truck bed. It's also a big safety risk. Rubber truck bed mats help keep your cargo from moving around, which helps prevent dangerous situations caused by load shifts.
One of the surest ways to create secure cargo storage in your truck is with locking cabinets, which are both tamper- and break-in resistant. These storage units are solid and very durable, as well as resistant to the effects of heavy rain or excessive sunlight.
A spray on liner is not just for new trucks. If you have an older truck with a bed that has seen better years, protect it from further deterioration. Before a spray on liner is installed, the old surface is thoroughly prepped to remove dirt and rust so no further damage is done.
In situations of inclement weather, a lifted truck has the benefit of situating the passenger cabin higher and away from the water flung from other vehicles. This vastly improves visibility and ensures a much safer driving experience overall.
The key difference between a pickup truck bed liner and a truck bed rug is that the typical liner is rigid, while a truck bed rug is soft to the touch. Rugs are made from dense, closed foam material designed for all-weather applications.
If you were looking for a medium duty tarp, you’ll want to look into either a green colored tarp, which measures approximately 9-10 mils thick or a yellow or orange which will measure a little thinner at 7 to 8 mils thick.
You have probably seen many companies touting spray on bed liners as a do-it-yourself project. While it can be done, the risks are great. Poor quality materials, inadequate tools, and improper protection all point to the sensibility of professional application.
The Hudson Terraplane Utility Coup was an eccentric-looking vehicle of the late 1930s. The trunk featured a sliding steel box that could be extended to form a truck bed. The automobile was an ideal choice for salesmen that needed to haul their wares while still keeping it classy.
What do you do if the kids get covered head-to-toe in mud at school or during football practice at the playground? Put the kids in the truck bed to keep the inside of your truck clean and begin the showering process in the driveway before even letting anyone inside.
There are many movies that put truckers and truck driving on the map. Some of those films are: ‘Duel’, ‘Smokey and the Bandit’, ‘Convoy and Black Dog’ and ‘Breaker Breaker!’
Before you go and choose mudflaps for your pickup truck, just beware that there are some things to consider. In fact, there are mudflap regulations that vary from state to state, but we can help you choose the mudflaps that are right for your pickup.
Even after you've bought a custom rubber mat, you may not want to use it all the time, but that's not a problem. Rubber truck bed mats are easy to take out when they're not needed, and just as easy to put back in again.
Is it time to close the gap? The 24” to 48” gap found between the tractor and trailer accounts for up to 25% of the aerodynamic drag that reduces fuel efficiency. A well-engineered closure efficiently redirects airflow but allows sufficient room for turning.
Installing a pickup truck bed cover is sort of like turning your truck into an SUV. You have the same towing power of a truck with more protection for the cargo you’re towing. All of this without actually having to drive an SUV.
A spray-on truck bed liner will give a finished look to your truck, making it appear new again. In fact, these liners are also highly protective, all but eliminating the wear and tear caused by constant exposure to dirt and moisture.
While over-the-road movement of goods is important to the economy, it is highly competitive, and finding ways to reduce costs means gaining a financial edge. Retrofitting with aerodynamic improvements can provide that little something extra.
