Finding Peace in Turbulent Times

In a world filled with constant noise and anxiety, Jesus offers us a different path - one of true peace. This peace isn't just the absence of conflict, but a deep, restorative wholeness that can transform our lives.



Two simple practices can help us cultivate this peace:

1. Be mindful of your media consumption. How much news and social media are you taking in? How does it make you feel?



2. Try Centering Prayer. Start with just 5 minutes of quiet meditation a day and see how it can help you connect with God's presence and find inner calm.



Remember, true peace comes from within. It's a gift from Jesus that no external circumstance can take away. Let's choose to be reservoirs of peace, filled to overflowing, rather than canals.

Our Broadmoor United Women In Faith had a great meeting this morning. The guest speaker was Dianne Miller. Dianne has a non profit ministry called Jewels of Remembrance . She provides videos for terminal patients which is a great legacy for families♥️

Devotional: Jesus offers us a peace that surpasses all understanding, even in the midst of life's storms. This peace isn't just the absence of conflict, but a deep, abiding sense of wholeness and security in God's presence. Reflect on areas of your life where you feel turbulence. How can you invite Jesus' peace into these situations? Practice sitting in silence for a few minutes, focusing on the phrase "Peace, be still" as you breathe deeply and center yourself in God's presence.

Yesterday we started our three series on "Finding Peace in a Turbulent Times"

We had a great morning at our Back-To-School Blessing & Potluck Luncheon! We prayed over our teachers and students in both services then enjoyed a wonderful potluck lunch with our neighbors and church family🎒🌈🎉

Thank you to everyone who brought food and helped with cleanup!
A special shout-out to 225 Balloon Babes for the fabulous balloon arch.

We love Messy Church❤️

We will be praying over students, teachers, staff and families for the next school year during both worship services.
Let's Do Lunch AFTER! Tomorrow at 12pm after the Contemporary Service in the Casual Worship Center.

Broadmoor will provide the main dish.
If your last name starts with A-M bring a side dish , N-Z bring a dessert to share with your church family.
You can drop off your dish in the back of the Casual Worship Center between 10:30-10:45 a.m. and 12:00-12:10 p.m.
The kitchen will not be available to keep food cold or warm so plan accordingly. Extension cords will be provided if you need to plug in a crock pot or other small appliance. Can’t cook? Don’t worry! Come enjoy the potluck with your friends and family as we gear up for back-to-school and a busy fall season.
