The Diana Challenge quilts have been on quite the odyssey. Welcome home!

My quilt has traveled the world without me!!

🗺Yes - my quilt travelled the world in an exhibition for years without me. I didn't mind - I was tickled pink!

🗺Spencer was part of the Diana Exhibition and she just recently came home.

🗺She was different from many of the other quilts. The design was based upon Diana's family crest. The stitching was meant to resemble many of the crowned jewels she was photographed wearing. Yet, she was made with beautiful simple and supple cloth, much like she was reputed to be.

The All-Minnesota Shop Hop starts one week from today! Do you have your route mapped out! Come see us at 7882 College Road, Brainerd/Baxter! We have a brick and mortar shop on the premises with our dyeing facility. It's colorful, inspiring, and staffed by our wonderful Cherrywood team.

One of our Premier Shops is organizing an amazing exhibit!

Blue Bar Quilts in Middleton, Wisconsin is working on a quilt gallery show entitled ‘Cherrywood Challenges Revisited’ for Cherrywood Challenge quilt entries from any previous theme that were not accepted into the juried show, or were not completed by the deadline for entry.

The show will hang in the Blue Bar shop hallway gallery through April & May 2024. Eligible entries are made from Cherrywood fabrics, are 20” square and were made for any of the previous Cherrywood challenges as follows:
Wicked, Lion King, Van Gogh, Prince, Bob Ross, Diana, Graffiti, Monarch

Prizes for Viewer’s Choice & Staff Pick will be awarded a Cherrywood 12-step Color Wheel fat quarter bundle. Entries must be submitted in-store or shipped to arrive by March 25, 2024.

Page’s masterpiece and Best of Show winner “Sherbert on a Cloudy Day” was the collaboration and creativity of four talented quilters who wanted to design their modern take on a medallion quilt. Originally inspired by appliqué designs by Sarah Vedeler, the additional designs, color and techniques were implemented by the individual stitcher. Congratulations on winning the prestigious best of show award and allowing it to brighten up our competition!

2024 Special Quilt Exhibit announcement: 🦋

Every year, Cherrywood Hand-Dyed Fabric chooses a theme and color palette, and presents a quilt challenge to quilters from all over the world. The challenge is to see what quilters can create using a limited number of colors included in a designated bundle of hand-dyed fabrics. The juried exhibit includes an abundance of techniques and creativity. Because of the cohesive nature of the quilts, the exhibit makes a visual impact.

Enjoy the 2023-24 Monarch Cherrywood Challenge exhibit at the 2024 Great Wisconsin Quilt Show, presented by Cherrywood Hand-Dyed Fabrics.
