Happy Friday everyone! We hope everyone had a great week, and enjoy their upcoming weekend 😊

Yesterday we had another fun filled day with our casino day! Thank you to Deke’s Paradice LLC for providing the equipment to make this event happen. We had black jack tables, roulette, and a few slot machine as well! Everyone loved the set up and enjoyed the real casino feel!

Today, we ended our week with a more relaxing day. We had a ”backyard bbq” for all to enjoy. We grilled some delicious food, played music, and had a bunch of fun outdoor games that everyone enjoyed.

Overall, it was a great week packed with fun events for all to enjoy! We hope everyone enjoyed National Nursing home week, and look forward to doing it again next year😊

Happy Thursday!!

When discussing nursing home week with the residents and asking what they would like to see/do, everyone agreed they wanted a petting zoo!!! So yesterday we went with a western themed day and made that happen. The Macinaw Pony Company came with llamas, mini horse, lambs, goats, bunnies, chickens, a tortoise, a baby cow named Patty, and some adorable puppies! Everyone really loved seeing all of the animals 😊

On Tuesday evening we held our annual Bay Shores Ball. We had such a wonderful turn out, and are so glad their were so many residents & families that came. The music was great, the food was delicious, and the decor was stunning. We are posting the first bunch of photos from the event now, but have many many more to come! Thank you to all the residents & their loved ones who joined us, and we hope you all enjoyed your night.

We would like to say a special thank you to Cindy Gilbert & the activity staff that spent many hours coming up with ideas and bringing them to fruition to create such a beautiful set up. We also would like to thank our dietary team for preparing & serving the delicious hors d'oeuvres, everyone loved them! Also, a huge thank you to Sterling & Tomika Brooks, as well as High Fidelity Entertainment, for coming out and putting on two seperate shows for everyone to enjoy. You all did a great job and kept everyone entertained and dancing all night! And last but not least we would like to thank all the staff that assisted all night to ensure our residents & their loved ones got the best experience and were able to have a carefree night of nothing but fun!

With it being National Nursing Home Week we have a fun filled week planned. Yesterday was carnival day and we had an appearance from Jewls the clown, played carnival games, had fresh cotton candy & popcorn, and also did pie in the face! Everyone had so much fun and the residents really got a kick out of being able to pie our administrator and DON in the face. It was such a good time for everyone.

This evening we had our annual ball, and it went great! We will have lots of photos to come tomorrow from our special night.

We had a lovely Mothers Day event yesterday for our residents and their loved ones. They all really seemed to enjoy themselves and had a wonderful time! We hope everyone was able to enjoy their Mother’s Day 🥰

We finished off nurses week by enjoying delicious sno cones! They are always a huge hit with our staff and residents.

Yesterday we had Linda Lee visit our facility to play music for our residents. Not only did our residents enjoy the performance, but our staff did as well! She always puts on a great show🎹🎉

There were a couple cute bunnies roaming the halls of Bay Shores this last week. The residents and staff really enjoyed their visit!

It might not feel like spring outside, but our residents still enjoyed doing some spring painting this week! We’re loving how everyone’s bunny paintings turned out🐰

Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual Easter Egg hunt event this afternoon! We had to make some last minute changes and move the event indoors due to the recent weather. It wasn’t ideal, but it worked out in the end. Hopefully next year the weather will cooperate a little better for us. We had an awesome turn out, and we hope everyone was able to enjoy themselves. The residents really enjoyed being able to see so many kids hunting for eggs 😊. Again, thank you to all who attended and those who helped by donating candy to make this event possible. We hope you and your families have a happy Easter! 🐣 🐰

Today we played the Saran Wrap Christmas Game, and switched up the rules a bit. The residents just loved it and were laughing and smiling the whole time! Well, except for those few times it got a little tricky lol🎄🎁
