EAC will be OPEN tomorrow

Due to the extreme heat today, the City has opened the USO/Service Center at 2105 Ave M as a Cooling Center.

It will be open July 9, 2024 from 12pm to 6pm only.

Water will be available.

Service animals will be allowed, but no pets.

Please note, a cooling center is NOT a shelter. This is provided as a temporary relief from the heat. Future days and sites will be determined as power is restored around the city.

EAC will be closed Monday to ensure the safety of our customers and staff due to anticipated inclement weather from Hurricane Beryl. We will post operation updates as they are available. Stay safe and prepare.

Even with no power, our seniors were able to get an amazing presentation by BCPD Officers regarding common scams and how to not be a victim. Thank you Bay City, Texas Police Department for the informative presentation! And we followed it up with a little bingo.

Due to an extended power outage, our phone lines and systems are down. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but out of an abundance of caution for our clients and staff, we will be closed for the remainder of the day. We are expected to return to normal operations and business hours Wednesday.

We are needing FORMAL ATTIRE for several senior citizen men and women.

If any one would be interested in donating any FORMAL Attire that you are no longer using for our Senior Citizen Men and Women, we would be happy to pick up the items. You are also welcome to drop them off at Economic Action Committee, 904 Whitson, Bay City, TX.
