Did you know that the best plants for terrariums are tropical plants? That's because they love all the humidity that is provided in a closed terrarium. Do you recognize any of the plants?

Check out these members of our terrariums clean-up crew, the decomposers! Decomposers are some of the most essential organisms in all ecosystems. In particular, these dwarf white isopods are making sure to clean up any organic waste that is decomposing, which then enriches the soil of our terrarium that keeps our plants thriving!

There are thousands of isopod species found all around the world in various sizes and often super interesting patterns/ colors. They are great a addition to terrariums, and even make great pets! Check out our isopod reel to see what's available.
