A new feature of MHS GENESIS Patient Portal now allows Prescription Refills!

The Defense Health Agency has launched a new feature that lets you request prescription refills through MHS GENESIS. You are now able to:

See all your prescriptions that are available to be refilled.
Choose which ones you want refilled.
Choose where you want to pick up the refill.
See when your prescriptions are ready to be picked up.

If your prescription has no refills left, or it’s expired, you’ll need to contact your provider for a renewal. You can do this using a scheduled appointment or you can use the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal to request a renewal. Depending on the medication, you may have to see your provider for a consult.

The MHS GENESIS Patient Portal is a secure website for 24/7 access your health care information. This new feature is part of a suite of tools available to you, including accessing clinical notes, viewing lab and test results, reviewing immunizations.

Screening for colorectal cancer begins at age 45. The Defense Health Agency offers a variety of colorectal cancer screening options, including a stool-based test known as F***l Immunochemical Test, or FIT, as an alternative to a colonoscopy.

Colorectal Cancer Screening Age Decreases to 45 Though the overall death rate from colorectal cancers have been on the decline in recent years, it remains the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States.

The 9 MDG Pharmacy is open and will continue to hand out prescriptions that already have been completed. If you must obtain a new prescription today, please contact the prescribing physician and have them send a new prescription to an alternate pharmacy of your choice. If you can wait, we encourage you to allow us to fill your prescription when our system comes online to prevent any third-party processing errors. Please note, filling prescriptions at a non-MTF pharmacy will incur a copay/charge in most cases. Women’s Health Clinic services have been integrated with your Primary Care Manager (PCM). Women’s Health Services (PAP tests, GYN concerns, STI screening, contraceptive counseling, etc.) are available by making an appointment with a PCM.

Walk-in Contraceptive Services are available in the Family Health Clinic every Tuesday from 0800-1000. No appointment required.

The HPV vaccine is available at the Immunization Clinic. No appointment required.

- Evaluation of lumps, bumps, lipomas, or other suspicious skin lesions
- Gallbladder disease evaluation
- Hernia evaluation
- Vasectomy evaluation
- Postoperative evaluations for any surgeries done at Travis AFB
