Sanctification takes time because we hold on to our sin nature - we release parts of it a little at a time. We find comfort in our rebellion, we enjoy being bitter, anger makes us feel powerful. Forgiveness feels week and vulnerable, loving each other feels like we will be open to be hurt. We feel the need to continue to defend ourselves with our wall of defensiveness. Our sin nature tells us the opposite of the things of God. We feel cool being tough. But the devil never highlights what the end of that gets us. Destroyed marriages and family, sickness, pain and death. He wants you to focus on the momentary feel good and not the everlasting hell and torment. Negativity feels good to your sin nature but it grieves your new nature - If you are saved you also have a new nature which feels uncomfortable in the atmosphere of sin. The plan is to get you to day by day yield more of yourself to your new nature. Your new nature loves feeling right with God, pleasing Him. It loves peace and unity and harmony. It loves the presence of worship and showing love and helping others. Yield to God today.

Sometimes a season of suffering is the very thing God uses to push you to the next level. It can be emotional, mental, spiritual, relationships, financial or physical. We all suffer in these areas in life anyway. How wonderful to have our Lord make all of that work together for our good and His glory ,if we love Him and are the called according to His purpose.
He is working you towards His purpose. He didn’t say your happiness, your comfort, your plan. Sorry baby, it is about His plan and the first part of that is to conform us into the image of Jesus. He is the firstborn of the Sons and Daughters that the Lord is bringing forth! If you remember that your Lord is using this pain to help you grow in Him you can yield yourself to Him and worship an pray in the storm instead of complain.
