Feeling awful that this happened in Beaumont!

Whence comes all this garbage? I'm getting meaningless recipes, pseudo intellectual ramblings, and just generally silly stuff that I never got before Facebook "helped" me. Stop it! Unless I know your dog personally, I don't care how brilliant or ugly it is.

Several years ago, we did a video project that involved the history of Charlton Pollard High School. In updating files, I discovered a photo CD with a lot of really good pictures. Would anyone like to have the CD? I have no further use for it, but it seems a shame to discard it. Please PM me if you have use for these photos. : )

A new book is being touted in the WSJ. Title is "How To Think Like A Woman." Let me catch my breath!!! Not a minute too soon!

Somehow the facebook people have managed to lure me into changing from my personal page to a business page which is NOT what I want to do. Too remedial to fix it. Just guess I'll have to live with it.

Just half way through and this has been an incredible year with new projects, new plans for traditional events and an amazing amount of activity. Just finished a one of a kind event - the christening of the Hybrid Tugboat, the Spartan. Currently launching the annual SALT Fishing tournament, and laying groundwork for the Chamber's Annual Meeting and the Harvest of Hope for Catholic Charities. And in spare time....returning to directing a musical. Thanks be to God for health and energy plus good friends and associates determined to have joy in their lives. Only in America!

This week is jam packed with shooting video for for Catholic Charities' Harvest of Hope. This is work we love because we get to meet and work with wonderful people of faith. The event is coming up November 11th - a fun filled tailgate party out at the Montagne Center. We are honored to be included!

It's a great day to be working on the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting scheduled for next Tuesday! Hope to see you there to join us in honoring the Spindletop Award Winner, Jason't Deli, and lots of other outstanding businesses. You can still get tickets! Don't miss it!

Wonderful things going on right now - the Symphony of Southeast Texas takes the stage of the Julie Rogers Theatre Saturday for a live concert keeping up the unbroken chain of performances despite all obstacles. At the Chamber of Commerce, many innovative programs are being implemented to improve the perception of our area and to enhance the quality of life here. I am also looking forward to the Chamber's Annual Meeting being addressed by Governor Greg Abbott on October 12th. I am proud to be a member of the Board of Directors for both the Symphony and the Chamber. Owning a business here for 44 years makes this public service possible. Thank you Southeast Texas for allowing me a place to work and serve!

Participating in the Beaumont Champions initiative is a wonderful experience. I learned about our city, how it runs, why it is wonderful, and who is working to make it better. Participation in the Beaumont Champions seminars is very rewarding. I'm learning so many things about Beaumont that will help me share the good news about our town with prospective new residents. Top notch presenters, a really enthusiastic group of participants, and a very good program of work are making this an excellenet experience. Tens of thousands of bikers showed up in Washington DC over Memorial weekend. There were No shootings. No riots. No targeting of police officers. No destruction of property. Think about the demographics that were in attendance. Veterans, bikers, people with tattoos, gunowners,etc. (The people who have been demonized by the media.) This is what people coming together to stand for something should look like.

Don't forget Jazz and Wine-June 18 from 6 - 8 pm. Only $10 a person for 3 drinks and great conversation, music and venue!!

Our freedom is not free, just remember that! Many have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Taking a deep breath and getting ready to dive into 2021 with the hope that we can continue working with wonderful clients, friend, civic organizations and the arts! Our first video project in the new year will be for SOST in January. Joy to the world! Merry Christmas!

Busy weekend! Finishing up a video for IEA, a video of the Lamar Commencement address, and streaming The Texas Tenors performance with SOST. Whew! Lots of work, but pleased and honored to be involved in so many outstanding events. It has been an interesting year (so far). Merry Christmas, everyone.
