Hairstylist in Beavercreek Ohio: color;hair extensions; styling. The right hair for your lifestyle
I need your help! It looks as though my business page has been somewhat taken over (can’t say the other word cause it brings all the crazies in) again. It’s on the back end so for right now, you won’t see it. But I want to see if you even see this post at all.
Please comment if you see this!
I may end up making a new business page because I have had so much trouble with this one.
A random photo of keratin bond extensions for your pleasure (not my pic, don’t even know why I have it 🤣)
This was the quickest but best trip ever. Another check to my bucket list. Another town I want to see more of. Getting to meet , someone I have admired since I was a little girl, was more than enough. But then to discover this little town that’s tucked behind the big city of Nashville, was icing on the cake. We ate good food, had good drinks and made some good friends. We also found the cutest little boutique store that had a prayer chapel located inside. I highly recommend checking out Franklin Tennessee. I’ll be back in the salon tomorrow so be prepared to hear all about it 🤣
Check out her before. She now has depth, style, attitude!! I hope this mom left feeling like a million bucks with her new hair.
Self care looks different for everyone….I am in need of something. Give me your ideas! What do you do for “self care”?
I didn’t know if I should post this here or not, since this is my business account. But I decided that my clients have been there for me through so much of mom’s battle, so I needed to share.
Saturday morning I lost my mom. I held her hand as she took her last breath, just like she held mine through many hard times. She is no longer in pain but it doesn’t make it easier.
Please forgive me if I may seem off or maybe I will even shed a tear. I promise to try to keep it together but I am human. Thank you all for all the comfort, love and support through all of it.
Please pray for my family. We are also laying to rest my cousin this week who lost her battle to cancer.

Any guesses how long this color took me?
Had great conversations with the few clients I did this morning about all the crazy conspiracies about the eclipse. Luckily, I don’t think any of them came true. But my family did enjoy our afternoon together watching a rare occurrence. We decided to try to avoid the traffic and go to Young’s for ice cream. It turned out to be the best day ☀️🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔🌔☀️
Why you need hair oil
All the extension girls know that hair oil is a MUST to maintain their extensions
but did you know that hair oil is essential to anyones daily routine who has any kind of length?
Here's why!
Our body's produce natural oils that help keep our hair and scalp healthy. That's why the hair closest to your scalp is so much healthier. But what about the hair beyond that? We have to use oil to give that hair the nourishment it needs. Our own oil never reaches that point and this is where we do the most damage. Many professional hair oils also have a heat protectant.
Do you hair a favor, use oil!
I am way too Egg-cited about today!
Last night my kids did a glow in the dark egg hunt. That has been a fan favorite now for a couple years. This year I got smarter. Instead of having to open, stuff, and close every egg, I just numbered each egg and kept a spreadsheet of prizes. The best prizes are always the tickets for certain privilege's like "get to order coke at the restaurant" or "family game night". This year we are surprising them with a future trip to Great Wolf Lodge and then I will have GWL extras they can find also. They do get some candy but I try to not do too much of that because you know who will eat it??? ME!!!!
Tell me your Easter traditions
Happy Easter!!

Plus, I’ll celebrate anyone who can turn water into wine 🤷♀️🙌🏼🤣

What happens at your extension consultation
This is when we get excited
Together we decide what length you prefer. Do you want to even add length? or are you just looking for fullness/thickness?
Are you wanting to add any dimension? Sometimes we can add like pops of blonde highlights without even coloring your hair!
Either way, we usually try to pick 2-3 shades to give you the most natural looking result
We discuss maintenance. What does your morning, day, and night routine look like and what changes will you have to make to keep your extensions looking their best.
How often will we be seeing each other?
Then we discuss the cost and cost options.
Once I get your deposit , we schedule your install appointment and we will be good to go.
Have questions?
I am heading out of town for spring break and thought this was a great time to remind you of the importance of mineral based sunscreen
Have you ever noticed staining on your clothes after you've used sunscreen? The same will happen to your extensions if you don't follow my advice and use mineral based sunscreen. Most labels will say "mineral based" but look at the ingredients. The ingredients you do NOT want to see are:
Avebenzone (Butyl Methoxydibenzoymethane )
Octocrylene
Don't say I didn't warn you!

Now is the time to start getting there.
Yes, getting there!
To protect the integrity of your hair, I will start out slow with the lightening process. This means it could take a couple of sessions to get you as blonde as you want to be come Summer.

When your husband puts the candles on your cake and you take your first look only to realize you’re actually a year older than you thought.
I literally had to do math in my head for a second. But he was right.
I was born on March 4th 1980. One of 125,148,676 babies born that year. Named Dreama because my mom let my grandma pick my name but the most popular name was Jennifer. I am a Pisces, and my birthstone is aquamarine.
It was a Tuesday and it was a leap year. The number 1 song was Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
I was born into a loving family and instantly had a big sister. She had just turned 3. I’m pretty sure she didn’t start liking me until we were in our 20’s 🤣.
I have always been a daddy’s girl, loved country music, and had a crafty side. I knew by the time I was probably 8 ish that I wanted to be a hairstylist and a mom.
44 years later I can proudly say that I am both but so much more. I am still working to be on the outside who I am on the inside but I am learning that your 40’s is when you begin getting comfortable. You begin to not care so much about who others think you should be, or what others think you are. You begin to be you, to morph into who you decide to be. You finally find those few people that are your tribe and realize that it only takes a few but those few are special.
The next 10 years I plan to enjoy watching my kids become little adults and see where life takes them. I want to work harder towards retirement goals and dreams. I want to create more memories with my parents. And I want to figure out what is next for my husband and I after we send our kids off to college.
So cheers to 44 years! Thank you God for blessing me!
Her before is just as beautiful, I know!!
But she wanted some dimension and wanted to quiet down the warmth that was in her hair.
I did a braided balayage technique with some face framing foils then toned.
Her maintenance is versatile. In about 8 weeks she will want to consider getting re-toned when she comes in for her cut.
And then possibly touching up her blonde again at her 16 week mark.
She could possibly even just touch up the front blonde at that point and cover any greys that might be poking through.
Because this is a “lived in” look, it is versatile with time. Just keep in mind that when we have warmth underneath (always) that warmth will work its way back through.
Apparently it’s and I will take every opportunity to show off my sweet pup. Sadie is the best dog and the perfect completion of our family (even though I want another dog).
Vulnerability post alert!
Today I got a glimpse into your reality. See, I’m usually the one behind the lens taking pics of you. But today was my turn.
It’s not a comfortable thing for me. I will look at every single picture and pick myself apart. I am not nice to myself.
Taking pictures of my work is a necessity. It’s part of how I grow my business. So to any of you who have been so kind and vulnerable, and allowed me to take pictures of you, I am so grateful!
Thank you!
When you get to have great conversation and do good hair 🙌🏼
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas 🎄

The most active shedding phase happens in the first 3 months post birth. I recommend waiting until your 3 month mark to do your in person consultation.
Let’s be real, you probably aren’t going too many places the first few months anyway.

Before and after her hair extensions
Still able to do her highlight, as usual. And blend that color into the base color.
The best part though….her life is now easier because her style stays longer. Less hassle!!

3 take aways from this years retreat
☝️ looking at things as a whole can be overwhelming. Look at big things in smaller increments and take 1 bite at a time
✌️ You do not have to take on someone else's energy. Let that be theirs.
🤟 I have the power to recreate who I am. The words I have been telling myself since I was a child, aren't true.
I feel like I came back from this retreat a new person, or at least a person who is ready and open to receive that new person. A week packed with adventure, meditation, energy healing, like minded people, great food and vulnerability is exactly what I needed. Can't wait for the next one
