The Beaverton Choi's Taekwondo Academy will have an open gym for the current members Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th 4pm to 6pm.

Over the Veterans day weekend, Our students went to Junction City for the All Valley Championship. Made some great memories, learned a lot, and brought back some trophies and medals.

These students over the weekend drove up to Washington to compete. Although it was a long day, they had a great time making memories and challenging them selves by going out of their comfort zone. Thank you parents for the support.

To the Students and Parents of Choi’s Taekwondo Academy,
We are super excited to be part of the Phase 1 reopening of Washington County, but are under strict rules that we must follow to keep everyone safe during this time frame. The following information will hopefully answer all of your questions, so please read the entire email carefully and reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns. Phase 2 will come soon, at which time we will have to see what Governor Brown and Washington County has to say about moving forward.

Modified schedule:

Monday and Wednesday
5pm - beginers
6pm - advanced
7pm - Adults

Friday
6pm - All belts
7pm - Adults

Limited space and class day
There will only be 18 spots available in each class to afford for safe distancing. During Phase 1, we will only offer classes on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays due to prediction of small amount of attendees. As the class populates, we will add the Tuesday and Thursday classes as soon as possible. Teaching will be modified to allow for no-contact and safe distancing while still getting adequate exercise and for learning what we love the most... martial arts!
Zoom Classes
We are still planning on having Zoom classes... it will be modified. For those that would still like to attend classes via Zoom. Please let us know so we can explore options to fit your needs.

Phase 1 - Covid19 Policy and Safety Plan
Your health and wellness is extremely important to us and we will take serious precautions to protect you.
• The gym will be thoroughly cleaned every day before classes start.
• Floors, equipment, and all high touch surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized between and during classes.
• Please come dressed and ready for class. The dressing rooms will not be available for use during Phase 1.
• Unfortunately the viewing area will be closed during Phase 1. Parents may enter the building to drop off, or pick up their kids, but will need to wait outside in their cars.
• Before and after class: All students will be required to use hand sanitizer or wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
• We are recommending you wear a face mask, if it's what you want, but it will not be required.
• You may wear socks on the training floor, if it's what you want, but it will not be required.
• Class size is limited to 18 spots to afford for more than 6 feet of separation between students.
• Teaching will be modified to allow for no-contact and safe distancing.
• Drinking fountain will be off so please provide your own water.
• Most importantly, please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns regarding anything!
Here are the obvious things that we are required to inform our members about
• Cover your cough & sneezes with a tissue, then throw away the tissue.
• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use sanitizer often.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Stay home if you aren’t feeling well or are showing signs of illness.
• Keep your children home if they aren’t feeling well or are showing signs of illness.
We know some of you might not be ready to start training right away, and that's okay! Please only do what you are comfortable with for now. For others, you may be more than ready to get back at it... and we are excited to see you whether it's now... or a just little bit later down the road. \
