NW Rebuild Project
The Northwest Rebuild Project is a Volunteer group consisting of Designers, Drafters & Architects
Please join us in wishing our very own Co-Founder and Vice President Douglas Eaglebear a Happy 50th Birthday Today!!! Doug was one of the first people to say yes to this crazy idea that became NW Rebuild Project, and our 4 years of success has been largely dependent on his work in the background. We wouldn't be where we are today without him!
Please join us in wishing our Board Secretary Vicky Fuentes a happy birthday!! Vicky has been a fantastic addition to our organization lending her organization skills, while gaining experience and learning the things that aren’t taught in school. We’re very grateful to have her!

We’re pleased to announce Alex Holbrook with his “Red Barn” concept as the winner of our Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm Classroom Design Charrette!
Judge: “ #1: I love the barn concept and the extra shade provided by the big overhang(s). Also love the open floor plan and how they're thinking about air and light moving through. And the comparison of the interior to a bell pepper! 😆”
Designs by Michelle Mueller and Charlie Carr came in 2nd and 3rd.
And our Judge requested a specific Honorable Mention for Erika Unyatinszki’s design stating “ #4: (Couldn't leave this one out, maybe they can get an honorable mention?) I like the creative roof shape, the garage door at the front, and the storage above the office and bathroom.”
Thimbleberry President Amanda: “I know this is just the beginning and we'll take elements from each for the schematic design 🙂. But this is so cool!! What a great process. Please thank all the participants on behalf of all of us at Thimbleberry! We really appreciate everyone's thoughtfulness, creativity, and effort, and we welcome everyone to visit us at the farm if they'd like!”
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm design charrette! Here are some peaks at the submissions! This group came up with some fantastic ideas which NW Rebuild Project will filter into a final design for the new classroom! Winner of the charrette to be announced this week!
Extra Thanks to Chief Architect and Autodesk via TechSoup for continuing to provide us with the software that we need to be able to do our work. With out their considerations we could not operate!
We’re at the Beaverton Farmers Market today, supporting Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm as we collaborate to design their new classroom! Come on down!!

Updated info on NW Rebuild Project’s open design charette for Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm
Guess what is almost finished!! Boyes Family Homes (2 weeks ago) coming along nicely! For those that are unfamiliar, this was a challenging design as it’s built on a small building area. We maximized sight lines for deaf family members. Don’t be fooled by the height, this is a single floor home with loft storage, and outdoor underground storage. We can’t wait to celebrate the completion of yet another NW Rebuild Project home!
We are proud to announce our Board of Directors Secretary Vicky Fuentes has received her Master’s degree from Portland State University! Please join us in congratulating her!
The last 3 bags were donated yesterday (I was late getting them) for our BottleDrop fundraiser to help build Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm a new classroom. Thank you Arthur Murray Dance Studio - Beaverton and Shannon Wills for adding more donations to the total! NW Rebuild Project has now helped raise $2344 towards this project and we have more to go! Stay tuned for more opportunities to help!
Here we go for another fantastic Portland Modern Homes Tour with Modern Architecture + Design Society
We are short a couple volunteers due to losing a few in calendar confusion. If you can help us out next weekend please pm Charlie Carr or email [email protected] ASAP. Free pizza and beer afterwards for volunteers!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - No Skills Required!! Did we mention FREE PASSES to the half of the tour you’re not working?
Volunteers for this event help us cover the majority of our operations budget for the YEAR!!! In appreciation for our volunteers efforts, Modern Architecture + Design Society donates to our budget.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - No Skills Required!!
We are going to need about 18 volunteers to help us check wristbands at this years Portland Modern Homes Tour. Modern Architecture + Design Society donates a significant portion of our operations budget every year, and this is how we earn that! Because of Donors like MADS NW Rebuild Project has been able to provide over $100k worth of architectural services free of charge since 2020. If you’d like to help us by volunteering, please follow the instructions on the flyer.
We’re out raising money to build a classroom at Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm! If you can’t make it down here you can still make a donation here if you’d like to help! (This fundraiser goes to the classroom)
Our unofficial saying is “We don’t want you to need to be our client” which is why we’re big on prevention. This is fantastic News!
HISTORIC: For the first time since the week of November 19, 2019... WE ARE OUT WITH THE DROUGHT across the ENTIRE state of Oregon.
5 YEARS!!
Why? Most of this year's Pacific storms have been directed towards OR and CA. Unfortunately, same things can't be said for WA. This upcoming fire season may be difficult for the North Cascades and we've already started to see those effects in the Yukon and Alberta.
