Every year during DVAM we partner with the awesome folks from to put on Survivor Service Days. We want to give a huge thank you to and for coming out to the center this week and providing free exams + more to survivors. We love this partnership and the support it gives to our community! π
Last night, we participated in a town hall focused on domestic violence. We had great conversation on the challenges survivors face when trying to access services and what Washington County agencies and organizations are doing to break down those barriers. We are grateful to be part of a community that is so focused on supporting survivors and working towards creating a safer path out of abuse.

β¨ Happy 30th anniversary to the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)! β¨
Since 1994, VAWA has been a lifeline for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. At DVRC, we are grateful for VAWA and the continued expansion of protections for survivors of gender-based violence.
September 10th is World Su***de Prevention Day.
Survivors of domestic violence are 3 times more likely to have suicidal thoughts and 4 times more likely to attempt su***de. We can all do our part to prevent su***de by listening, being supportive, and sharing mental health resources with those in need.

Today is Domestic Violence Counts survey day!
On last year's survey day, advocates in Oregon served 1,937 adult and child domestic violence survivors. We are joining once again to share the needs of domestic violence survivors, advocates, and programs across the country. You can learn more at nnedv.org/dvcounts
