🧵🪡The Escarapelas Workshop was a success yesterday! Like every year, we sewed in a group, and both kids and adults improved their motor skills. We also shared the escarapelas from all the countries that use them, like Peru! 🪡🧵❤️🌎

Sobre la esquina superior izquierda del escudo peruano, con el cielo azul andino de fondo, se ubica la , la representante de la riqueza animal en el país. Más que una receta, este plato típico nacional fue elemental en el proceso de independencia del país. Una de las versiones sobre su origen ocurre durante la década de 1820, las mujeres iniciaron una colecta para apoyar la expedición del libertador José de San Martín. Entre los insumos más utilizados se encontraba la tradicional papa, que era prensada, sazonada con sal y ají amarillo para luego ser vendida “por la causa limeña”.
