It’s that time of year again! Find a great gift and support local artisans and BHS students at the Holiday Bazaar this Saturday from 10-4!

First home varsity football game tonight vs. McNary! The Bite (concessions) will be open! We’ve got the usual menu items along with some new bites - pizza, churros, paletas and more. Also tonight longtime grillmasters Daniel and Matt will be serving up burgers, thank you! Come for football and food starting at 7 pm!

BHS Booster Club (formerly BFAN) manages concessions, runs the Holiday Bazaar, coordinates staff appreciation, food distribution and so much more! Your help is needed in order to continue offering these programs that mean so much to the BHS students, staff and community.

Staff appreciation happening this week, today teachers and staff get socks and stickers and so far are loving it and very grateful!

Hello friends- if you’re new to BHS, I’m Margie Lusk, & this is “The Bite”. The Bite is operated by your parent group, “BFAN” (aka Booster Club)- Ricky Lusk and I do all the behind the scenes work of ordering, stocking, scheduling, schlepping & scheming, & any BHS affiliated group interested in earning a little money, provides the customer service during games. Last night, our A team, Softball with Coach Lambert and Coach Gassner were there. Between tips and their 20% payout, their made off with over $800 for the night!! The Winter Concessions Schedule is now open for groups who would like to sign up to earn funds by staffing basketball games or wrestling meets. Most of the events are from 5-8:30pm and require 4-6 people. Groups will earn 15% of the sales from the event or a minimum of $50 per shift. Hey friends, we are very much in need of a few extra helping hands in the concession stand tomorrow night. Band is scheduled to provide the staffing- however with their program being significantly smaller than usual this year, they are stretched a little thin. It’s all about pitching in and giving- when, where and how you can, whether it’s money, time, expertise or advise. When Sallee Kirby Lines & I took over concessions all those years ago, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves in to. Thank heavens for Lenny & Mila Glinsky. They’d already been helping for years, knew all the ropes & agreed to stay on as our Friday night, right hand team. Here it is 8 or 9 years later, and they’re still there- every time, making everything 100% better. It’s people like Mila & Lenny that make the world go round, my friends!

We have some of the best, and I do mean BEST people around pitching in to make things happen. Matt Evans and Daniel Beshears have been standing behind this grill almost every home game since even before my time running the shack, and I’ve been VP in charge of hot dog distribution going on 8 or 9 years now. They show up week after week, humbly grilling up the best burgers around, barely willing to accept thanks for it, simply doing it because they love it. Next home game, be sure to grab a burger from Matt & Daniel & let them know you appreciate them!

Gates open at 7 and so do we… we’ve missed you!
