Did you know that Dave's Garage Doors is 41 years old?

Lori and Dave opened Dave's Garage Doors, Inc. in 1981. The business started with DGD as an installer for Sears’ Craftsman brand of Garage Door Openers. Lori frequently helped Dave with the installations and repairs in addition to managing the business.🔧

In 1991, Lori became the sole owner of Dave’s Garage Doors, making it one of the first woman-owned garage door businesses at the time! Lori purchased two additional companies through the years and DGD now services clients throughout the Portland metro area and beyond.👩‍🔧

More than 40 years later, Lori still owns Dave's Garage Doors. The company has grown to 18 full-time technicians and customer service representatives - some staff has been with Lori for more than 35 years!👏

On Veterans day, and every day, we are grateful to all those who have served. Thank you for your service!

Garage Door Technician -- $5,000 Bonus -- Portland Metro, Yamhill/Clackamas/Clark Counties, Salem
We have an immediate opening for two service technicians. These are full-time M-F positions w/optional Saturday
- No industry experience necessary -- we will train
- Self-starters taking pride in your work
- Professional, personable, easy-going
- Motivated
- Reliable
- Sound judgment
- Ability to operate independently
- Mechanical aptitude for service and repair work
- Company vehicle and gas card provided
- Medical, Dental and Vision
- 401K 3% matching contribution

Responsibilities: (will include, but are not limited to)
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair of garage doors and garage door openers
- Replace garage door springs
- Accurately document all work and property surveys
- Maintain proper tools, equipment, and inventory to perform repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness of workspace and service van
- Follow safety procedures and direction from senior level technicians
- Maintain quality service by following company procedures

Qualifications:
- Professional representation of company with clients is critical
- Ability to use power/hand tools and have the ability to lift up to 80lbs.
- Maintain a professional appearance (e.g., neat and clean) -- Logo shirts, jackets, sweatshirts and hats provided
- Must be able to pass a background and driving record check as well as pre-hire/random drug testing
- Have a valid Oregon or Washington driver license
- Attention to detail, including the ability to accurately measure garage
- Can work with a team and follow written and verbal instructions
- Good organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
- Verifiable work experience & professional references
- Basic mechanical skills
