Hi friends! Sorry, I've been really busy getting caught up after the Christmas rush this year! One drawing I completed this year was this little furball. This is Squeak, but I usually end up calling her the "Squeaky Kitty". She was named Squeak because she likes to make cute noises *all the time*. I had so much fun drawing her, and I'm looking forward to creating more cat portraits in 2020! I hope you like my drawing. Feel free to share or tag your feline-loving friends. ✏️😸

Here's one of my latest experimental pieces that I finished earlier this year. This colored pencil drawing was created as a tribute to my grandma and was recently on display at Tamarack during the 2019 Juried Exhibition. I plan to create a small series of work based around this idea, which will feature various people and Country Roads of West Virginia. Hope you like it! 💞

Completed drawing of a sweet girl and her best bud. I really LOVE how this drawing turned out. Australian Shepherds are one of my absolute breeds, so it was great getting to draw these two. I've gotta say, my new, fancy colored pencils have been a success so far! What do you think? ✏️🐶👩🏼

In honor of the new movie coming out, I decided to draw Spider-Man! I wanted to challenge myself to create something a little different and I've gotta say, using an entirely different color palette certainly was tricky. I worked especially hard on this one, and I created a time-lapse video of this drawing for everyone to watch. If you enjoy it, I'd greatly appreciate if you'd like/share the video. One of my latest portraits was a surprise for this pretty lady to commemorate her kitty, Bella. This has been an incredibly special portrait and it truly means the world to me to create artwork that will be cherished for many years to come. This is one major reason I love being an artist. 🥰✏️

Sharing a photo of this cute Yorkie drawn in colored pencil that I completed back in December as a Christmas commission. This piece serves as a tribute to the pup and is a great way to remember his memory. It was such a pleasure working on this drawing of this cutie. 💕✏️🎨👩‍🎨

So while I have been super busy, I made a little time to work on the first personal drawing that I've actually created in 2018. My subject happens to be one of the most special dogs that I've ever had in my life, Micha. She was one of the smartest dogs I've ever met, an Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix. She was a part of my life for roughly 14 years, and I was around 6 years old when she was born. She's been gone for quite a few years now, but she still holds a special place in my heart. Since I had to test out a brand new set of colored pencils, I felt like she would make the perfect subject to start with. My photo references were very limited, but I really wanted to bring her to life as much as I possibly could. All in all, I feel like the new set of colored pencils did a pretty fantastic job. I'm happy with how this big-eared pup turned out. 🐶✏️👩‍🎨

My most recent art commission was a very special piece. Without a doubt, one of the most impressive paintings I feel that I've created. This artwork was painted using oils on a 20x24 canvas. Definitely one of my proudest accomplishments thus far, being the artist to this portrait now hanging in the hospital which has been dedicated in loving memory to Dr. Amjad. 😊

Still one of my favorites! Definitely one of the cutest commissions I've created was this portrait of these two. This drawing was created using prismacolor pencil on bristol board. Hello friends! I recently finished this adorable painting of this little doll baby and I just had to share it! I really enjoyed getting to paint this one with all the vibrant greens and pinks. I think it's one of my new favorites. :)

I finished another crazy drawing! This is another one from the Elmwood Estate photoshoot! I used my prismacolors on this one and I am super happy with the results. This one ended up being more colorful than my other work, which I feel is a very pleasant change. This drawing took me roughly 6 weeks to complete due to its rather large size. I started this around the beginning of June and completed it this week, but it was definitely worth all of the hard work. I hope you enjoy the drawing! I think I'm going to call this one "Bonnie & Bonnie". :)

My painting skills were put to the test with some of these tiny little details, but I'm pretty proud of how nicely this turned out!

This Walking Dead chair will be auctioned off on May 17th at the "Chair-ity" Auction. The auction will be located at the Lewis Automotive Showroom (located at 100 Appalachian Drive, Beckley, WV). The doors open at 5:30 PM -- Dinner and entertainment start at 6:00 PM -- The auction, at 7:00 PM.
The proceeds go towards the Women's Resource Center, an organization built on helping victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
