We’ve been making salsa verde at my house! These organic tomatillos from .farm won’t last all season! Here is a recipe that we have enjoyed: Remove the husks and rinse 9-10 tomatillos. Place whole tomatillos, one medium onion (cut into chunks), 1-2 jalapeno peppers (halved lengthwise), and 4 cloves garlic on a baking sheet. Coat with 2 tbsp avocado oil and sprinkle with 1 tsp salt. Roast in an oven at 450 degrees for about 15 minutes until tomatillos are soft. Put the roasted vegetables into a blender and add 1/2 cup chopped cilantro and 2 tbsp fresh lime juice. Enjoy with tortilla chips, or use on an omelet!
Have you tried these refillable cleaning products? My mom is picking up some multi-surface spray cleaner, dish soap, oxygen brightener, and lemon laundry powder to bring home with her today. Once you use these products without all the questionable chemicals (sodium laurel sulfates and pthalates), and strong perfumes and dyes that are in most products, well, there is no going back! 🧼🫧🧺
Did you know that 300 million tons of plastic is produced each year world-wide? And did you know that half of this plastic is used to create single-use disposable plastic items such as beverage bottles, straws, packaging, service ware, food wrappers, and plastic bags? 😱
We are pushing our zero waste mission even further: We are going to start offering prepared healthy foods such as smoothies and salads, baked goods, breads, and local cheeses. We need your help to be able to make these changes. Here is my video about what we are trying to do and how you can help. Remember-the way we grocery shop can have a big impact on our planet.

Happy everyone! A day to celebrate . Slavery still exists in the world in many forms and in many places. We can do a few things to stop it from happening: demanding transparency about the products that we buy and choosing not to buy products that lack that transparency.
The best part about owning a refillery is connecting with other businesses who have a similar mission to ours. is committed to reducing packaging waste like we are, so we can send this container back to be reused. They are also committed to peace which is evident from their label✌️. Did you know that castile soap can be used to wash your hair, to wash your body, as toothpaste, in a dishwasher, as laundry soap, to wash pets and even your car! What else do you guys use castile soap for?
Not a moment goes by where I forget- how very blessed I am to have my mother and my mother-in-law here to help me with our store. My mom lives in Pennsylvania and does a lot of work behind the scenes such as updating our website, helping with graphic design and visiting when she can. And so many of you have gotten to know and love my mother-in-law Betty who puts in the hard work here at the store doing sales, cleaning, and filling bins! You make our store extra special! Sending extra love to you both today! ❤️

Hey everyone, candy and snack wrappers are going into the landfill (I have confirmed this with the Bedford transfer station) and there IS something we can do about it. We have a spot here in the store for a Terracycle medium sized recycling box to accept chip and snack bags, candy and chocolate bar wrappers and inner foil wrap, gum wrappers and blister packs, and granola bags and wrappers. Terracycle recycles things that otherwise would not be recyclable. Each recycling box costs $150 and we are looking for community sponsors. We had a candy and snack wrapper box last Halloween and Christmas and since we filled up that box and shipped it out for recycling we have had many requests to bring this service back to our community! Direct message us if you are interested in becoming a sponsor! Thank you!

A few highlights from our store this week:
1. These stem and leaf oranges are easy to peel and sweet.
2. We are now carrying hydroponic lettuce from Oasis Farm in Nashua. Lettuce is so much better without the clamshell isn’t it?! (And oranges without the plastic mesh bags 👏) These small heads have a crunchy texture and mildly sweet taste.
3. These gluten free crackers are one of my favorite snacks in the store. They taste similar to wheat thins and are made in Mass. Grab your jars and come on over! ♻️
Have you tried Pigeon Cove Ferments kombucha and kraut? Tasty and good for you too!
