Installation of the flooring was performed as contracted and as scheduled. The installers were hardworking, respectful professionals. Particularly noteworthy was how well the installers carefully transitioned from areas covered by the new flooring to two other existing flooring materials. Absolutely seamless! Additionally, Kim prepared a layout for our kitchen cabinets that addressed all aspects of what we wanted and needed. Goedecke is an exemplar for teamwork and quality customer service.”

We may have expanded a lot from our early days of painting…but we continue to be more passionate than ever!

”In those early years, George was often seen tenaciously pushing a bicycle with no tires through the streets of Manchester with painting supplies slung over the handlebars. Thanks to his industrious nature, he was able to not only establish Goedecke Painting, but expand his business by training a crew in painting, wallpapering, gold leaf, and elaborate faux finishes.”

Alan Goedecke passed into eternity on the evening of June 15th, 2024, after a short battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. During his last weeks, he was surrounded by loving family and friends whose lives he had blessed. He is survived by his wife Nancy, sons Herb and Peter, seven grandchildren, two brothers and a sister.

Alan’s life has been centered around his faith, family and community. He ran the family business, Goedecke Flooring and Design Center, for 45 years. He successfully transitioned the business to his two sons so that he could enjoy retirement and focus on volunteering. He and Nancy were always active church members and helped found and construct a building for New Hope Christian Fellowship in Bedford, NH.

Generosity was always present in his life and demonstrated in one part by 50+ years of serving with the Bedford Rotary Club. Alan coached Manchester cross-country skiing for 20 years. He designed and developed the ski trails and the ski hut at Earl Legacy Park in Bedford. Alan is remembered for his constant smile and positive attitude. He loved life, his family, his Lord and the ability to serve others.

A Celebration of Life / Memorial Service will be held on July 18th at 4:00pm at Bethany Covenant Church in Bedford, NH. All are welcome to attend.
