"Look for someone who soothes your nervous system." How lovely would the world be if this was the norm? Let's talk about what this could look like for a minute. First of all, while the original creator was likely speaking about romantic relationships, it extends far beyond that. It's the people you choose to surround yourself with. The friends who are now family. Your support system... Those are the people you want to soothe your nervous system.
How does that even happen? Most people know our brain is the primary organ of the nervous system, but attached to the brain are nerve bundles that fill our entire physical body. Our nervous system controls literally everything. Movement, digestion, our emotions, etc. Finding someone who soothes your nervous system means finding someone who creates a sense of calm in your life. You feel safe around them. Anxiety dissipates and you physically relax. Your muscles are less tense, your brain quiets, and you can just be. You don't need to prove anything to them. You don't need to seek approval. You simply coexist, dancing in sync through the choreography of life. Anyone who makes you feel like you're home... Those are your people.
Even through the struggles, we are still so blessed. Take a moment with your thoughts and reflect on what you have gratitude for. How are you blessed? Maybe even write it down so when life gets tough, you have the reminder right there. Love and light to all of you on this blessed Sunday. ❤️
This is a great reminder on this Saturday. By deliberately creating calm, we easily attract more of it.
Nobody feels absolutely perfect and amazing all of the time. We're all human. We all have emotions. We all make mistakes. We all have off days. We're all on our own journey through this thing called life. And that is absolutely okay. You are okay exactly where you are in this moment. ❤️
Blessings to you all. 🙏
On the 23rd anniversary of this tragic day, I ask that we all take a moment of silence and remember the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001. To those who were directly impacted by the events of September 11th, I surround you in love and light, and pray you continue to heal and find peace. Many blessings to you all. 🙏❤️
This is important to remember every day, but even more so during September, which is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. We ALL have bad days. It's part of the human experience. That being said, you are worthy and a bad day, or several bad days, does not lessen your worth. Sending much love and light to anyone struggling. 🙏❤️
Great article outlining benefits and some of the lasting effects of massage.
How Massage Therapy Can Help Boost Focus, Relieve Anxiety, and Improve Your Sleep The benefits of massage go way beyond relaxation.
Have you told you lately that you love you.... Have you told you lately that you care...
Do you practice daily affirmations? If not, it's a wonderful practice that helps align our conscious brain, our subconscious brain, and our energetic self to that which we want to create and/or attract. The ones below make a lovely addition, or if you're just starting out, use any or all of this list that resonates with you.
We carry the weight of the world on our shoulders.... Polarity, RYSE, or an energy clearing session can help you put it aside and be free. Contact me today to book your next session.

Okay, so let's talk about mechanical massage devices. Should you use them? Are they beneficial? Are they just as good as a professional massage? Honestly, I have been known to recommend manual and mechanical massage devices to clients over the years. Reality is you cannot bring me home with you, and even if you could, I would not be giving you constant massages (just ask my husband and kids!).
If you have an ongoing issue and cannot get back on my table as quickly as you want or I suggest, they do have the potential to help. If relaxation massage is where you're at, a massage chair or mat with shiatsu style rollers can be extremely relaxing. They can help loosen up the muscles for sure, but it's difficult to get the same experience you get on my table. These mechanical massagers don't know A&P. They aren't able to get right into the problem area and do insanely focused work. They don't communicate with you about pressure or warn you that you're dancing around a trigger point that's going to get a bit sensitive when I go over it. They don't do a lot of things, though that could change down the road.
In fact, many massage practitioners have started integrating massage gun treatments into their practices. It's a good tool to utilize sometimes, but it won't ever replace what I can do. Manual and mechanical massage tools will help you stay a bit more relaxed between sessions. They will keep the musculature pliable and easy to work when you're back on my table again, and they will help you have a few more pain free days. So go for it. Buy that neck massager, splurge on a massage gun, or even utilize the massage chair at the mall.
While the creepy little robots within these devices may turn on you one day, at least you won't be locked up and unable to move when it happens! 😂
Who wants it? It's the only opening I have left this week.
