Cheers to a smooth and balanced Chardonnay that’s as sophisticated as it is ready to mingle at the local BBQ.

Harford County is seeking public input as it begins a state-mandated update to local building codes. The updates must comply with recent changes adopted by the International Code Council and National Fire Protection Association along with applicable Maryland State laws.

The Harford County Department of Inspections, Licenses and Permits (DILP) will gather public input on the proposed changes through August 31, 2023. The proposed changes and an email address to submit comments are available on the county website at https://www.harfordcountymd.gov/289/Inspections-Licenses-Permits-DILP.

DILP will review public feedback before drafting legislation that will then be shared with the appropriate Harford County advisory boards for additional input. Another public comment period will be scheduled in October, before legislation is submitted to the Harford County Council for final approval.

When MISSION BBQ opened in Bel Air last year, they partnered with the Judy Hinch Benevolence Fund (established to support our volunteer members that are in good standing in times of hardship) and the Harford County Sheriff's Benevolent Fund. The inital cost of the "Hero Cup" is $4.99. After purchasing a cup, you may reuse it on additional visits for $.99 refills and you will receive $1.00 off your next meal ordered. From now until March 1st, the Judy Hinch Benevolent Fund will recieve $1 and the Sheriff's Benevolent Fund will also recieve $1 for every cup sold. So grab a Red & Blue cup and support your local first responders!
