Our 3s classes bounced into Spring with a trip to Rock the Spectrum!

Guess who arrived at St Matthew? The chicks are in town! They are hopping with excitement as they look forward to meeting everyone around our Egg Hunt & Family Fun event next Saturday, March 30! KPrep began their inquiry into dinosaurs with a donut day including their favorite “dudes”! They learned dinosaurs come in different shapes and sizes, how to classify dinosaurs, role playing being paleontologists, going on some dinosaur “digs”. Thank you to our dads and the special “dudes” in our life for helping us kick off a favorite unit of study! 🦕

Step right up to the 100th Day circus! Our Kindergarten Prep enjoyed a fun day celebrating their 100th day of school!

Can you send a little love this year? 🥰 We are partnering again with Paper Pie and Cards for a Cause fundraiser. We are asking friends and supporters of our school for their help to make this a great success! Funds raised help support our preschool ministry here at St.Matthew Lutheran Church. So far we are off to a great start-but still need help to reach our goal!

Cards for a Cause is a great way to help our school and these boxes make great gifts! Each box contains a set of 30 beautiful cards and enveopes. Each box has a theme: all occasions or holiday cards, thank you notes, blanks to personalize, or birthdays—erase the rush to grab that last minute card before a special event! Plus, you can always have on hand that special card to send to loved ones near or far.

We had such special learning experiences last week with Upper Chesapeake Teddy Bear Clinic. We learned about some of the different tools that health care professionals use to care for us and heal us. So grateful to the nurses who volunteered their time to care for our students and their loveys! ❤️

Ballet Chesapeake regaled us yesterday with a beautiful performance of the Nutcracker. Afterwards, we were able to enjoy yummy treats and time with the characters. The children enjoyed the morning and gained inspiration for their special performance next week at our Christmas program.

We had a fun time in the gym to kick off the holiday season! Everyone enjoyed our Holiday Hustle obstacle course!

That’s a wrap for 2022-2023 Lunch Bunch! We ended our year with a picnic on the playground, water fun, sidewalk chalk, freeze dance, and popsicles! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy lunch together and get to know your children outside of the classroom! We enjoyed our time with all of your kids!
