PRO TIP: Pick something and make it your kid's 'thing.' Incorporate that thing into an annual photo shoot. Since birth we have photographed Natalie every summer with daisies. This is year SIXTEEN. (We can't believe it either!)

We had an overcast day for shooting this team so we could pose anywhere - LOVED putting each player in 'their' spot on the field, in full uniform, including headgear. She makes playing first base look fantastic...

Luckiest grad in the world! Sparty asked to hold Emily's dog while we were on campus for her graduation portrait session. After this photo, we were like... "We're done. We could go home now and be happy forever!"

Pro Tip - Shooting through the fence adds an artistic element to your softball and baseball portraits. Depending on your camera settings the fence may be crisp or blurred. Be sure the focus is on your subject, not the fence (unless you're REALLY making an artsy shot - all rules in photography can be broken).

Hats off to Ashley on her GVSU graduation! This session took us to both campuses on an afternoon featuring the first pretty light of springtime! Photo season is officially in session! What do you have to celebrate?

Baby Miles... the trick to photographing newborns is to put them in soft pretty light in an extra-warm room, play some white noise in the background, and provide a milk-induced coma. Tah-dah!

Behind the Scenes Sunday: Barb and Melissa traveled to Northview to snap Girls Youth Lacrosse Photos because one of Barb’s nieces plays. We cannot wait to get the photos and merch that was ordered in their hands! The vibe was one of gratitude, excitement, and happiness. Friendships being formed on the daily! Northview Girls Youth Lacrosse. (Oh yeah I didn’t mention the WIND was also extraordinary that day…)
