Spttc league informational update. There will be Spttc Junior and evening leagues this Saturday July 6th.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the Spttc Butterfly June Open this weekend. We had players from Alaska, Brant Bennett, brothers Jason and James Peng. From New York, Qi Cai. From Colorado, Jake Rodgers. From Michigan, Yijia Gao. Coming up from Oregon we had Nate Wilkinson and Michael Groom. From Canada we had junior players Cheong Lam He and Dinghao Zuo and of course all the players from Washington state. Thank you to Da Na would stepped in and did multiple matches of score keeping. The tournament staff Jamie Wang, Jerry Li, Vince Mioduszewski and Spttc management that all of you. I hope everyone got to play lots of matches and enjoyed playing.

We are going back to Vegas!
The 2024 US Open Table Tennis Championships will be happening from 16-21 December at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Convention Center located directly on the world-famous Las Vegas, Nevada, Strip.
The playing hall for the competition is expected to cover the largest footprint for the US Open since the event’s inception in the early 1930s.
Registration opens early fall 2024.

We have added Paypal to omnipong for payment. For your events and entry to show up on omnipong you will have to pay your tournament entry fee when you register on omnipong otherwise your name will not appear on the entry list.

SPTTC special announcement. Due to a fire at the Inkredible Shirt business next door the club will be closed today. The club is okay but it has smoke inside from the fire. The club will be open tomorrow normal business hours.

SPTTC Junior league rewards program for the second quarter league 2024. There will be 3 categories. There will be highest rating***, most improved*** (based on rating), and attendance. For the highest rating and most improved rating the rewards will a 100.00 and 75.00 for each category and the Attendance will be 100.00 and 2 75.00 gift certificates. This quarters program will run from April 13 to June 29. The Junior league is open to all junior players from High School and down.
*** To qualify for the rating rewards players must participate in a minimum of 7 of the 11 Junior leagues and have a usatt membership to track ratings

Spttc Butterfly Spring Open tournament entry update. We have now reached 100 entries with 20 days left until the tournament. Two events have reached their 32 player limit. The Open Singles and U-2150 Singles. We have started a waiting list for both events. All other events have space left to enter.

Spttc league review. In the previous episode 1 in the league in a galaxy far away in the absence of Master Aaron Wang we had the Rise of Juniors led by Vikhyath Bulusu who was one of 4 juniors to win their tables. In this weeks episode The Adults Strike Back led by the return of Master Wang with the adults winning all 7 groups. Master Aaron Wang took control with his paddle saber to go 6/0 on table 1 followed by Pitsanu Limpamanop 4/2 and Saicharan Vellanki. On table 2 Olajide Osadare led the charge vs going 5/1 winning in a 3 way with Yucheng Yang and Chad Su. In quadrant 3 Joshua Zhou went 6/0 followed by Yoji Ono and Anton Shapovalov both 4/2. In quadrant 4 Vladimir led the way going 6/0 with Ishaan Paul 5/1 and Mayank Malik 4/2. Section 5 Tianshu Liu went 6/0 followed by Daniel Qiu who held of the junior rebellion from Jonathan Wu 4/2. Group 6 Erik Brack finishes 4/2 to finish in the top spot while Ishaan Puri 3/3 and Steven Xia finish 2 and 3 in a 5 way tie. In zone 7 Tuvshintur Batzorig goes 6/0 taking the top spot with Shankar Kartik Emani 5/1 and Sharat Puri. All in all the junior rebellion was thwarted and the adults have restored peace in the galaxy once again. 49 characters in this episode.

In this weeks episode of as the Spttc evening league turns, it was the Rise of the Juniors. We had 6 groups tonight. Junior players won 4 of the groups. in the other 2 groups a Junior player finished second and the other one lost in a 3 way tie for the top spot.
