The Acatenango region is home to active volcanos Fuego and Acatenango, which both host a variety of microclimates. The ecosystems span across farmlands, tropical forests, high alpine forests, and volcanic terrain. Coffee at lower altitudes grows faster, whereas at higher altitudes coffee plants have to work harder to grow, thereby producing more complex acids within the coffee fruit. The microclimate of a region where a particular coffee is grown impacts the flavor of that coffee significantly. โ๏ธ๐
