This isn’t a but this house might seem a little familiar! We staged this cool mid-century modern home in Edmonds in 2021, and these clients knew to call Modernous back when they were ready to sell. Fresh, fun and filled with character, this home was a blast to design again.

This house in the woods was built about 30 years ago using magazine plans from the 1960s. The original owners used high quality materials, including teak, but the finishes were beginning to show their age. Modernous was hired to preserve the feel and original design of the space, while bringing the function and finishes up to date.
New terrazzo tile flooring throughout provided a beautiful bright backdrop for preserving the teak kitchen cabinetry and trim throughout. A custom blue Malm fireplace was installed in the living room, while both bathrooms received a total overhaul. The kitchen was slightly expanded using contrasting grey cabinetry, opening it up to the living room.
The final touch was working with the owner on new furniture throughout the main floor to complete the space. The new, modern design is right up the client's alley!

This rainy Monday morning is reminiscent of last week’s staging install on Interlaken Blvd. So wet! And yet... there’s something about this soft light that photographs so well!

A couple of favorite moments from our busiest months of the year! We’ve staged everything from high-end textural traditional to colorful industrial to funky Scandinavian new construction. We can always find a way to speak to the home’s character while retaining our unique style with our collection of vintage and modern pieces ✨

This incredible Magnolia Mid-Century went pending in 2 days! We took cues from the earthy tones of the original slate, while bringing in a sense of playfulness with bright colors. We can’t get enough of these cedar ceilings with car decking and skylights!

This newly listed 80s condo in Bellevue is a split-level dream, with garden views from every window. Not what you’d expect, being only 3 minutes from Bellevue Square!! 🛍️

There is something so inspiring about mixing old and new, like when we were asked to stage this 1927 Tudor revival in the the coveted Westview Drive area of Queen Anne. A crisp white backdrop highlights the house’s original features, like coved ceilings, arched doorways, and leaded glass windows with peekaboo water views, while we added our touch of “Modernous Hollywood Glam!” We mixed metals and combined luxe materials like leather, velvet, glass and marble to give a sense of elevated easy-living, with a splash of alfresco dining and a primary suite fit for relaxation. Many thanks to for bringing us on to stage this amazing property.

Out in Monroe, we had the chance opportunity to stage a bonafide log cabin estate! It’s always exciting to see how we can style a house that is outside of our usual mid-century fare. We wanted to bring a fresh perspective and new life into a property that embraces the outdoors. We couldn’t help but imagine how nice it would be to sit by the fire pit on a warm summer night.

This was the coolest renovation to a mid-century A-frame that North Bend has ever seen! It was one of those crazy installs where we hardly had time to snap our own photos before the photographer arrived. We highly suggest checking out the listing because this property is incredible, from the fun kitchen tile to the sophisticated finishes throughout. Amazing work by & co. We were honored to stage such a cool home.

This was a unique staging project because the client painted these bright accent walls in response to another project we did for them. They saw how we embrace working with color, so they gave us full permission to run with it! It’s crazy how a few choice pieces of art and some modern furniture can make a place feel cohesive!

We had the opportunity to stage an incredible house in Magnolia, coming from the talented team at Slant LLC. A bright and airy home that feels so perfectly balanced with designer finishes and the freshness of spring green! There is so much to love, like the reading nook under a skylight, or the expansive kitchen perfectly designed for hosting. All of this, just in time for warmer weather! Thank you, for bringing us onto this project!
