The Master Aesthetician
Master Aesthetician since 2009 specializing in lasers, facials, chemical peels, microneedling & more!
THE POWER OF HYACYN SPRAY 🩵 BY ! MY NEW CATCH PHRASE IS “JUST HYACYN IT” (nod to my big fat Greek wedding)! You guys, I can’t say enough good things about this spray, it’s totally changed post procedure and recovery for my clients! The above photo was immediately post co2 with and the 2nd just 10 mins later 🤯
It’s antimicrobial/antibacterial, calming, wound healing, without disrupting the skins ph and microbiome! It literally does everything lol. Stye in your eye, HYACYN it! Cold sore, HYACYN it! Perioral dermatitis, HYACYN it. Acne or rosacea, HYACIN it! I could go on and on!
Post procedure my clients leave looking like almost nothing was done 🤯 the heat is lessened and they heal faster! I use it during facials, microneedling, co2 laser, rf microneedling and anything else I can think of lol!
HOW IS HYACYN DIFFERENT?
Hyacyn Active is a superior hypochlorous acid formulation due to the proprietary manufacturing process. Other manufactures produce hypochlorous acid products through an electrochemical activation process, which is then bottled and sold. The proprietary formulation in Hyacyn Active goes much further to stabilize the hypochlorous electrolyte in the solution. This process, along with our unique packaging, drastically increases the effective shelf life of Hyacyn Active compared to the common thirty day effectiveness in other similar products.
In addition, Hyacyn Active is produced in an FDA approved and ISO-certified cleanroom facility – the quality standard required for manufacturing critical pharmaceutical products.
It utilizes a luxurious micronized mist that helps maintain consistent coverage and aids in absorption, along with a pH balanced formula to reduce irritation and inflammation, maintain a healthy skin barrier, and is microbiome friendly.
Hydrinity Hyacyn Active is perfectly pH balanced at 5.6, which allows for the hypochlorous acid to operate at 100% effectiveness. Any other pH will alter the power and effectiveness of the molecule.

It’s been awhile since I reintroduced myself and I want to start the new year off by recommitting more time and energy to IG! I know I’ve been slacking a bit 😬 it’s very easy to get out of the habit!
So if you’re new or don’t know, my name is Reanne and I’m 37 years old! I’m a licensed Master Aesthetician in Washington state! I have been licensed since 2009, but been in the industry before that even! I have my own business in Bellevue (close to Seattle), called Aesthete! Which means “a person who has or affects to have a special appreciation of art & beauty.” .medispa we specialize in transformative results in a luxury setting!
I love educating on skincare & getting the real science on products & treatments. I have no chill when it comes to fear mongering in the aesthetic space lol! Have I had to relearn things because what I was taught was wrong, absolutely! As an esthetician we should always be learning & always be open to new ideas, science etc!
I don’t know it all so I try to follow people like cosmetic chemists, toxicologists & dermatologists to make sure I stay up to date on things (the correct things)! Some things I was taught in school that I learned were incorrect: mineral spf is better, mineral spf reflects uv lights (only 5%), there is no medical grade skincare category in the FDA (or clean beauty) so no regulations. Parabens are COMPLETELY safe (and effective), the dose makes the poison, non comedogenic scale is total bs & EWG is not to be trusted. I’m sure there are more I can’t think of lol! My point is it’s ok to be wrong, what’s not ok is not being open to other ideas and that things change!
Let’s see, I have two havanese dogs named Dublin & Darby! I struggle with anxiety & OCD. Love going to the movies, mint green is my favorite color. I love to sing, it’s cathartic for me! Currently I’m on mounjaro for weight loss, for a year almost, & on a journey to get healthier & feel better! I try to share that when I can!
So with this post I promise to be more active on IG again! I would love to know what you like seeing, what you like to see more of & what you don’t like!? Love you guys! Drop some 💕 in the comments ⤵️

I have been an aesthetician since 2009 and I’ve been in the industry since 2004! I love this industry and I love how much I have seen it change! To see aesthetician’s not only have a seat at the table but to be respected, is something I’ve been striving for since I started! I can’t wait to see where we go next!
For those that have been following me awhile you know that my journey has not always been easy. There have been many ups and downs, many tears shed, many times questioning if I was good enough, many times if I was in the right industry and also many wonderful experiences! I wouldn’t have had the ups without the downs. I wouldn’t have learned what I’ve learned. I wouldn’t have made the friends I have and built such an amazing community, that has supported me thru the ups and downs. I have leaned on and learned from so many amazing people, I wouldn’t be here without them! I didn’t get here on my own and I think it’s important to acknowledge that and the people who made it possible!
So for those of you just starting out or not in the place you want to be, don’t lose hope! Esthetics is not an easy industry, you have to hustle, you have to have lows but at the end of that is the most amazing career and a job that you love! That is a blessing most people don’t get to experience!
I love being a master aesthetician and getting to impact people’s lives and their confidence! It’s truly the best feeling in the world! Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their skin and taken the journey with me! I’m truly honored 💕
So this Aesthetician Day, tag your favorite estys and let them know how much you appreciate them! Show them love in your stories, tag them using products they’ve recommend etc! We love seeing that and knowing we’ve helped!
Thank you to all of my followers for supporting me and my journey! I started this page for you guys, to educate on skincare and could never have imagined all the amazing things that have happened! I never could have imagined what this page has turned into, thank you for your love and continued support!
💉 Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin. Safe on all skin colors! Downtime is about 3-4 days and the rewards are HUGE!
A device with fine needles creates tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin, which triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin. Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
Micropunctures are created using microneedles which produce a controlled skin injury without actually damaging the epidermis.
These microinjuries lead to minimal superficial bleeding and set up a wound healing cascade with release of various growth factors such as platelet derived growth factor, transforming growth factor alpha and beta, connective tissue activating protein, connective tissue growth factor, and fibroblast growth factor (FGF).
The needles also breakdown the old hardened scar strands and allow it to revascularize. Neovascularization and neocollagenesis is initiated by migration and proliferation of fibroblasts and laying down of intercellular matrix.

I’ve said it once but I’ll say it again and again because people don’t seem to be listening lol! Plus companies are constantly trying to “greenwash” us and scare us from all the “toxic” things in our everyday life. FEAR SELLS…..
All these or brands are just trying to scare you! It’s a marketing tactic. That’s it! So when you see or reps (don’t get me started on MLM’s 🙄) or anyone else saying you put on 60 chemicals a day, it’s total BS!
If you see someone using the (environmental working group) as a source, it’s not true.
We are made up of chemicals, everything is made up of chemicals. Without chemicals we wouldn’t exist. Water is a chemical (hydrogen + oxygen), you can die from drinking too much water 😲 look it up.
When we look at the chemical makeup of a banana it’s made up of a variety of chemicals, naturally. Swipe left on photo ⬅️ has gotten out of hand.
So please, don’t worry about your skincare being poisonous or dangerous. Don’t fall prey to surrounding chemicals. If a brand is telling you what’s not in it, as opposed to what’s actually in it…. Huge 🚩🚩🚩
If an ingredient is “dangerous” please remember the dose makes the poison. And they are highly regulated and wouldn’t be on the shelves if they were dangerous. Cosmetic chemists aren’t out to get us 🤦🏼♀️ in fact it’s the opposite.
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND END THE MADNESS 🗣🗣

I’M VERY EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE I AM A AMBASSADOR 💙 I’m so excited and honored! I absolutely love my SKINPEN and the company!
In my 14 year career, I have used several devices and thought there can’t be that much difference. Enter SKINPEN, immediately noticed a difference not only in function but in results! I have been using SKINPEN for about 6 years now and exclusively in my clinic .medispa! I love the FDA approvals and safety of the device, as a practitioner things like that are what helps me make a decision.
The results my clients get are phenomenal and they of course appreciate the safety of it! Not only does it help treat fine lines, wrinkles, tone, texture, scarring, pore size and overall appearance of the skin but it makes the skin healthier! Stimulating collagen & elastin in a safe and effective way, that is safe on all skin colors, is a win-win 💙
“Environmental Working Group ( ) uses an authoritative sounding name to peddle scientific half-truths & outright fabrications. It is loved by “activists” & detested by chemists & scientists”.
“The EWG, aka , scares consumers about chemicals & their safety, masking fear-mongering in a clever disguise of caring & empowerment.”
“Unbeknownst to consumers, they are heavily funded by the organic lobby.”
“Despite the protest by the scientific community, the org manages to scare enough people to operate a $12.5 mil budget. Saying that unseen dangers lurk in everything, is a lucrative business.”
“Chemicals. It's a word used to mean "scary things." EWG takes this a step further & calls them Toxics.”
“Thru exaggeration/fabrication, the EWG gets pretty much everything wrong. The few it gets right, the FDA has already acted, so EWG is just beating a dead horse to raise $.”
“The EWG loves to reference scientific studies. Their interpretation may not be accurate/applicable. Most studies expose animals to astronomically high doses of a chemical in a short amount of time. In many cases, the substance is eaten, inhaled or injected directly into the blood, according to the ACS.”
“ partnered w/ EWG to launch the program in 2015. Sadly, brands must pay to have their products tested.”
“Is it a surprise that BC, has over 100 products that have the EWG Verified seal?
Fun fact, is an EWG corp partner, an EWG board member, & was once simultaneously a brand ambassador for BC?” Conflict of interest much 🤷🏻♀️
It puts profit over safety. Ex: “Roc Retinol has 9 rating. A 9 is one of the most dangerous products that can be found in the SDD (says them). But if you click on the picture they’ll be happy to have you buy the product thru their affiliate program.“
isn’t backed by much science at all. The research is merely opinion, no documented data to support the ratings.
Lastly, THE DOSE MAKES THE POISON! Also, anything approved by the FDA is deemed safe. Chemists can’t put toxic things in products…
Follow a real toxicologist and real chemists like for real information!
I posted about this in my stories yesterday but thought it deserved a permanent post. Dropping a big bomb on this myth! If only it was that easy to tell if something will clog your pores! Let’s go into why it’s inaccurate….
- The test was done at 100% of the ingredient on rabbit ears. Our skin is different than rabbit ears & most likely we aren’t using something pure at 100% on our skin. Otherwise it’s performed on a man’s back with large pores, still not accurate.
- Comedogenic ratings are not the most accurate way to assess if a product will be “bad” for your skin. Products with several high comedogenic rating ingredients don't make them bad products, just like a few “bad” people in a country won't make the country a “bad” place to live in. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO FORMULATION!
- Results from these 11 studies are all over the place. Each study used different methods, scales, ingredients, concentrations, & duration of testing.
- The possibility of pore-clogging changes based on who it’s tested on, what it’s mixed with, & how it’s diluted. That doesn’t even factor in the different sources of ingredients.
- Non-comedogenic is NOT a regulated term by the FDA, anyone can claim it.
- Ingredients can actually make one or another more or less comedogenic.
- Oil free is also not true. Instead of plainly-named oil sources, these products feature triglycerides, jojoba esters, palmitic acid, octyl palmitate, ethylhexyl palmitate, caprylyl glycol, squalane, petrolatum, & more — all of which come from oils.
- Lastly, comedogenicity isn’t universal to all skin & all people. Your skin may react very differently to an ingredient vs someone else's.
PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!! My injector has giftcards, that’s all I’m saying 🤷🏻♀️
I will accept Dysport Galderma], Xeomin or Daxy by ! Fillers I prefer Resatylane by Galderma] 🎁🎄🎅🏻

🗣 EVERYTHING, AND I MEAN EVERYTHING IS A CHEMICAL!
There is no such thing as chemical free
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Very few things make me as angry as fear mongering in / . It’s inaccurate & nothing more than a marketing tactic. It’s scaring consumers and telling them what’s not in ur product instead of what is. Instead brands should be educating people on why things are safe instead of buying into the fear and misinformation! But that wouldn’t be as profitable 🤦🏼♀️
Water is a chemical. We are made out of chemicals. You can die from drinking too much water..... my point being the dose makes the poison. Arsenic occurs naturally in a variety of foods such as fruits, vegetables, grains & fish. But you don’t hear anyone telling you to stop eating them. Regardless what you have heard, cosmetic scientists aren’t trying to slowly poison us. There are regulations.
Parabens AREN’T dangerous. Did you know blueberries, mango, barley, strawberries, black currants, peaches, carrots, onions, cocoa beans, vanilla, to name a few, naturally have parabens in them? Parabens are a powerful preservative, so much so nature uses it too. Go figure!
Natural doesn’t mean better either. Poison ivy is natural but I wouldn’t rub it all over my face!
With all that being said, are there green beauty products that I like and use? Absof**kinglutely! However I don’t buy them because of fear or trying to avoid certain things! I don’t avoid things that are synthetic either, they actually can be safer!
I highly recommend educating yourself on the topic and following accounts like & for more information!
Also, we as professionals must do better & educate ourselves so we can educate the public!

This is why I 💕 microneedling! It works! I always put all of my clients on vitamin A & C to enhance and keep their results! Stimulating that much collagen and elastin is just amazing! 🤯 In studies using vitamin A and C during the course of treatments enhanced results by 150% 🤯 I want everyone to get the most out of treatments so anything I suggest is to get you the best results! My favorite vitamin A&C are Alto Advanced and Alpharet by (link in bio to purchase)!
“Juvenile collagen I showed itself up-regulated in all groups, while collagen III was down-regulated. Singular and repetitive PCI with a microneedling device can achieve and supersede the results already shown with medical needling.”

Progress takes time and it’s important to show that! The acne didn’t show up over night, it’s not going to be cured overnight. For this beauty we did a customized routine and two Blueberry Jessner peels by . Once acne was under control we started doing microneedling with , 6 in total! In June we did a sensi peel for a little breakout control.

EVERYONE NEEDS A VITAMIN C SERUM! 🍊 If you are doing anything remotely anti aging or repairing, it won’t mean much without it! Alto by is my go to!
Vitamin C is a normal skin constituent that is found at high levels in both the dermis and epidermis. Aging, however, causes a decline in vitamin C content in both the epidermis & dermis. Excessive exposures to UV light or pollutants (e.g., cigarette smoke and ozone) may also lower vitamin C content, primarily in the epidermis.
Vitamin C limits the damage induced by ultraviolet (UV) light exposure. Vitamin C is not a “sunscreen” because it does not absorb light in the UVA or UVB spectrum. Rather, the antioxidant activity of vitamin C protects against UV-induced damage caused by free radicals. UV light decreases vitamin C content of skin, an effect that is dependent on the intensity & duration of UV exposure.
In addition to its antioxidant functions, vitamin C regulates the synthesis of the structural protein collagen. The role of vitamin C in the hydroxylation of collagen molecules is well characterized. Hydroxylation of collagen is necessary for its extracellular stability & support of the epidermis.
Vitamin C has been shown to stabilize collagen mRNA, thus increasing collagen protein synthesis for repair of the damaged skin. This occurs concurrently with a decrease in elastin production; the elastin protein is often overproduced in response to photodamage. Vitamin C also increases the proliferation rate of fibroblasts, a capacity that is decreased with age. Further, vitamin C stimulates DNA repair in cultured fibroblasts.
Topical vitamin C has also been shown to reverse some of the age-related structural changes in the interface between the dermis and the epidermis.
Vitamin C is an essential part of skin health both as an antioxidant and as a critical factor for collagen synthesis. Vitamin C contributes to photoprotection, decreases photodamage, and is needed for adequate wound healing.

“🌟 Anyone going to the beach or hanging by the pool this summer... and the next, and the next ??? The impact of sunlight and UV rays on unprotected skin is profound. Sun-protect your face AND your neck/chest!

Collagen & Elastin are extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins that work together in the dermis. They also make up the skin's connective tissues.
🧬 When elastin molecules band together, they form an elastin microfibril. A group of microfibrils then join together to create a mature elastin fiber. This network of elastin fibers allows your skin to spring back into its original state after being stretched or contracted.
🧬 The main difference between collagen & elastin is that collagen provides your skin with tensile strength while elastin supplies it with elasticity. Both proteins work together to provide you with a firm & supple skin texture.
🧬 Another difference is that elastin is much more flexible than collagen. Elastin can stretch to about 200% of its original length while collagen can only be stretched to 10% of its resting length before breaking. This is why elastin is primarily responsible for your skin's elasticity.
🧬 The slow decline of your skin's elasticity is a natural part of the aging process. Menopause is a natural aspect of the aging process for women & is associated with estrogen deficiency. Low estrogen content is known to hasten the loss of skin elasticity. Sun exposure is another major factor in speeding up the breakdown of your skin's elasticity. UV radiation triggers a condition known as solar elastosis — the accumulation of abnormal elastic material in the dermis. Common pollutants in the air, like ozone particles, damage the elasticity of your skin. The glycation of collagen & elastin also leads to tissue hardening & the loss of skin elasticity.
🧬 So what can you do about it?!
Antioxidants topically & orally(diet)
Retinoids
Hyaluronic Acids
Adequate sleep
Quit smoking
SPF - NO EXCUSES
🧬 Treatments you can do -
Chemical Peels
Microdermabrasion
Microneedling
Laser Treaments
Laser skin resurfacing (co2)
Radio Frequency
Exercise improves the metabolism of your skin cells & makes you look younger. It boosts blood circulation & helps in keeping the skin firm.
Skin can return to its original state of elasticity in about two years. But all the above steps can help the process!
