Process.

From design to ex*****on I find a duality in the process of making art for the purpose of serving others.

The artist creates freely, the editor kills the darlings. The practicality of getting a tattoo, and the mysticism of the transformation. The heavenly callings, and the earthly desires. They coexist in harmony. Sometimes.

It’s all one process, but we separate them to make sense of it all. Brain splits.

Calling in for more flexibility, while staying firm and grounded in our values.

Do you find this dual processing in your experience, regardless of your creative orientation? How do you handle this tension?

Smooth, flexible and silky, Jellyfish is one of the most ancient creatures of this world. The main function of Jellyfish is to eat and digest. The design of their digestive system allows Jelly to stay light and prevents them from getting weighed down. The weight would ruin the ability for Jelly to move and possibly become life threatening.

Jellyfish is here to remind us that we should not carry more than we should, or more than we absolutely need. To remain light, soft, and flexible.

The Ocean may take Jelly into unexpected places and situations, yet Jelly is a great master of the power of flexibility, being able to adjust to its environments with great ease and flow. It’s softness allows Jelly to remain safe from harm.

Jelly brings great medicine for you if you’ve been finding yourself “hard headed” about life circumstances.

Finding ease in life is not always a smooth task. Jelly reminds you to stay calm when the waters move you away and around, and to search for that ease that can be found in the simplicity of your breath. Become the observer of the movie of your life circumstance.

That’s me, exactly 6 years ago.
I was housesitting for Nana.
I had a 3 year old son.
I was an artist.
I was tattooing myself.

I was intrigued by the possibility of tattooing as an art practice, and later on, as a livelihood.

I didn’t think of it as a career at first. I had a career, I was an artist/illustrator. Period.
Sometimes you don’t know where life will take you when you decide to follow your curiosity (your calling).

Today I get to live a sweet, connected, service focused life for the people in my communities thanks to this practice.

And I get to share the learnings with other artists who are in the same journey as me, and hope to make art their livelihood as well.

Stick and poke tattooing is a gentle, beautiful, and accessible practice. However it takes specific systems, mindsets and focus to make it your livelihood.

With the new moon we call in anything we are meant to embody and we release anything we’re meant to let go.

Putting this flash together is always an autobiographical expression of the artist. Yet connexions are present among all of us and this flash transcends the life of the artist and reflects other resonant life experiences, such as, and most possibly yours.

As we plant the seeds for the season ahead we are confronted with our own clutter, junk and unnecessary stuff, wether they are of material nature or of intangible - abstract nature. These are asking us to let them go and open room for new seeds of expansion and growth.

Are you willing to say no? Sometimes to say yes to something new, you will also need to say no to a lot of things, new and old. And sometimes there’s nothing new to bring in, and instead there’s things to eliminate or let pass to allow a new experience to emerge. Either way, life is allowed to flow through.

The new that comes from thinking and feeling differently is being called in. approaching life with a new sense of freshness, of restarting and creating a new and more kind world, focused on service and collective wellbeing. I hope you’ll join me in this calling 🙏✨🖤

Rooted in depth of connection. The base of conscious expansion.

I’ve been pondering on the animus - the unconscious masculine side of a woman according to Jung (1921).

According to Jung there’s a positive and a negative side to the animus:

*Positive - assertive, thoughtful, rational, powerful, courageous, objective, honorable and wise.
*Negative - ruthless, opinionated, destructive, brutal, reckless and cold.

Of course if you’re a man or a different shade of gray you can also exhibit these traits. I know I can be all of these at different times, and I’m guessing you can too, no matter your shade. Because energy (feminine or masculine) does not refer to gender identity.

As a female who identifies as a woman, I love all my masculine and feminine traits. I even love the negative sides, because they form the fabric of my “self” at this moment in time.

We can always work towards more positive traits, as long as there is love and acceptance at the roots. No shame, no punishment. Only love and acceptance.

That is depth of connection. Collectively we are building a more balanced and deeply connected culture.

Of course a lot has been explored and published since Jung defined these concepts.
And I am, by no means, an expert on the subject.

How do you work towards healing your animus as described by Jung?

Flower is a symbol of joy, beauty, positivity and respect. It marks a milestone to the experience of growth. Flower unequivocally brings a sense of ease and grace.

Throughout history flowers and humans have developed a mutual relationship of service, love and care. Flower has adorned and beautified our and homes, palaces and altars, and has found a crucial role in mythology as well as in sacred rituals. It is the ultimate gift.

Flowers can actually talk. They each have their own way of being beautiful. They contain a high vibrational life force, so you have to pay full attention to them, rather than imposing your own ideas of beauty on them. Each of them is a teacher, unique and special.

Flowers, like all plants in this world, can also listen. They listen to where water comes from and orient themselves towards it. But they can also listen to us and our vibration. They remind us that we are not (ever) alone. I know this first hand because they told me, and I listened.

Flower reminds us that beauty is always within us, no matter how wilted or dry we may become. Hope, joy and dignity are some of Flower’s gifts that we have the opportunity to welcome into our lives, into our souls.

Flower plays a vital role in healing, providing life, joy and beauty beyond the sorrows and pain of the human world. Flower carries the essence of Mother Nature which is ultimately caring and nurturing.

When I think of the word “wild” I always think of Flower: emerged from nature in its own unique and beautiful way. I invite you to listen to Flower and let them teach you the ways of the wild.

I just became a citizen of the US!
I am feeling so much gratitude for what this place and people have done for me. I want to share this gratitude by giving away a FREE TATTOO SESSION to a lucky one!
