Re-keys and locks, electronic access solutions, and troubleshooting are all in our wheelhouse, and our team of highly skilled technicians finds the right solution for each security problem we encounter.

We want a problem solver with extensive experience working as a locksmith who can hit the ground running. This position is for an on the road field technician, capable and comfortable with thinking on their feet and solving new problems. You’re a good candidate if you:

• Are always willing share your knowledge, and humble enough to continually learn
• Possess a patient attitude towards your team and our customers
• Own your work, admit when you need more information, and openly correct mistakes
Preferred Qualifications, list any that you have:
• Develop custom, tailored security solutions
• Electronic lock hardware selection and installation
• Fully independent in the field
• Excellent finished carpentry skills
• Comprehensive security product knowledge
• Complex master key system design and knowledge
• High level of service call through-put
• Effectively present information to customers & commercial clients.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Perform emergency work orders when on call
• Accurate scope-outs & bids on large projects
• Install electric strikes (excluding connecting power)
• Pick common residential and commercial locks
• Pinning of Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, Best, & common keyways
• Mechanical combo changes
• Ssafe Deposit Box & Complex safe openings
• Vault lock maintenance
• Safe education, sales, delivery, and service

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to fluently understand, speak and write English. (Please note if Bi-Lingual)
• Ability to push, pull and lift at least 50lbs.
• Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop
• Ability to reach above and below the shoulders
• Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull.
• Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground
• Withstand external weather conditions year-round.
Subject to a criminal background check, drug test, and a review of driving record.
Job Type: Full-time, 40/hrs a week with a regular on-call rotation for after-hours availability
Experience:
• No experience necessary, we can train the right candidate, though any locksmithing, access control or field-service experience is preferred.

Our technicians got to work on unique project last week. This old savings box needed a key made, and it was from Bellingham's own Bellingham National Bank, circa the 30s or so. Inside, was a steel penny minted 1943, a very neat piece of history! During wartime, many things, from metals to sugars, were rationed to the general public, and some things that were made from copper, like pennies, were made of other, cheaper metals in the interim.

Our team was able to smith a key, and a customer got to have a working piece of Bellingham history. Our techs always enjoy these fun and interesting jobs!

Our technicians enjoyed cleaning up this old cassette lock. It was gummed up, and had several parts that needed filing and cleaning, but the bolt-work is made to slide in to the frame and catch it, for a sliding-style door. They don't make them like they used too!
