"I always knew I wanted a career where I could make a difference in people’s lives. After experiencing the results of electrolysis I knew it was something I wanted to do. I quit my job as a textile designer and started doing electrolysis full time. Seeing the confidence in my clients from their electrolysis journey is so rewarding. It’s important to me that my clients are comfortable and confident both with themselves and their treatments. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling to different places to see what the world is like. I also find joy in hiking, I enjoy being in nature and the peacefulness of it. I still have a passion for drawing and design and do that on my free time."

Meet our esteemed Electrologist and Laser Technician Randi.

"As a little girl, I used to go with my mother for her Electrolysis treatments to remove her facial hair, and she always told me that it was the only permanent way to remove hair on the face. So when it was time for me to remove my unsightly facial hair, I chose Electrolysis as well. I was so fascinated by the process and success of permanent hair removal that I enrolled in school to learn Electrolysis and started doing it as a side job. Eventually, I quit my career as a Veterinary Technician to become a full-time Electrolysis professional.

With over 30 years of experience, I specialize in assisting individuals within the LGBTQ+ community by providing permanent hair removal solutions to support their gender reassignment goals before surgery. It is a rewarding experience to be a part of each client's hair removal journey and be the reason for their boost in confidence.

I am the proud Mom of a son in the New York City Fire Department and I still maintain my love of animals."

People always told me that electrolysis was an old school method, but it was my last option. Other hair removal methods DID NOT WORK. As a young woman suffering from unwanted facial hair and PCOS - I always felt that it would never end, but it does. Experiencing the unimaginable results of electrolysis has changed my life in such a positive way and I wish to give those same results to my clients. I understand the struggle and frustration, but I promise this is a journey well worth it.
Besides working- I am a huge believer in traveling. We must see the world and what is out there. View the different ways of life as it is a very humbling experience.

The grants assist with the costs associated with treatments and options for hair and skin issues related to PCOS, including dermatology treatments, laser hair removal, electrolysis, androgenetic alopecia solutions and others. Thanks to Ricardo Azziz, MD for leading this research with young investigators from PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic O***y Syndrome Association, UAB Medicine, NYU School of Global Public Health, UCLA.

This work is the first to estimate the excess direct healthcare costs of Mental Health Disorders associated with PCOS.

The overall economic burden of PCOS is now estimated to be $14 billion annually. This amount is attributable to PCOS healthcare costs only and does not include indirect (work productivity-related) and intangible (quality of life-related) costs.

As PCOS is a global disorder with much the same prevalence across the world, the excess economic burden attributable to PCOS worldwide is enormous. These data mandate that the scientific, medical, and policy communities increase their focus on this important disorder.
