Banned Book Week aims to draw attention to the harms of censorship. 2021 saw a record breaking number of attempts to ban books (729, up from 156 in 2020). 2022 saw attempts to restrict and ban books rise to 1,269. 90% of all book challenges were part of an attempt to ban multiple titles.
October 1st-7th is Banned Book Week! Celebrate with us by checking out our library displays, picking up a censorship themed coloring page at our activity table, or guessing which book belongs to which ban.

With construction on our building starting soon, we are happy to have our temporary space set up and ready for service!
