Body Butter from Scratch!
No premixes here, I’m going to borrow a topic from another fellow Soap maker Pattersons Farm, the White Label “manufacturers” purchase a base lotion, soap, bath whips or Body Sprays etc, then add the instructed amount of scent and color, which is fine if they advertise it’s someone else’s base, however these parties claim they make the “natural product” “by hand”. To make these by hand our Body Butter is a full day process, as is our lotion. It’s not until the next day we can bottle these beauties. Yesterday I must have lost 20 lbs of water it was so hot, but I love making quality products with ingredients I feel safe giving to my children. Our prices are generally the same as the “White Label” brands made locally, who use lower grade materials (including phthalates in the fragrance oils over Essential Oils”. I can appreciate Pattersons Farms work ethic to create products from scratch as I see and respect the hard work that goes into them. Ingredients on a label that you can read and understand!! Shop locally, but know what’s in your product. Are you buying craftsmanship? Or Walmart with a White Label?
