Our Story
David Bookman was born September 30th, 1939 in Newport, Ohio. His first job was working for his grandpa at the age of 5. His love of golf started when he was 19 years old. He would go to garage sales and pick up old woods and refurbish them.
David is often asked how he got the name “Utah Dave”. That came from a long time friend, Jim Rice, who said, “We can’t call you Nevada Bob so who are you? Utah Dave?”
Utah Dave’s started out mostly gripping and replacing shafts for customers on April 1st of 1998. We carry a complete line of Taylor Made, Cobra, Srixon/Cleveland, and Bridgestone products!
