If you missed it last year, WNED PBS will be rebroadcasting "Trolley Park: Midway Memories" on Friday, July 5 at 9:00 pm followed by a new film, "Trolley Park: Out West" at 9:30 PM about a park in Oregon.

Also, we will be selling DVDs of the Midway film at the park gift shop later this summer. Announcement will be made when they are available for purchase.

2024 Midway State Park Schedule:

Midway will officially open for the Summer Season on May 25th, 2024. We will be open for Memorial Weekend on Saturday the 25th, Sunday, the 26th and Monday, the 27th from 11am until 6pm. The Spring Fest is happening tomorrow! The entry cost for the Festival will be $2.00 per person. This will include the Duck Hunt, crafts, games, rides, and snacks.

For children 4-12 it will also include a challenging hidden egg hunt too! Sorry adults, your punch card will not include the duck or egg hunt, but will still include snacks and rides.

At this time we are planning on operating the train and helicopters, but everything is always weather permitting in Western NY.

There is no set time for the duck and egg hunt as they are ongoing. The Spring Fest is from 10am-2pm, so in order to get the most activities in, we suggest arriving prior to 1:15. We will be closing everything down at 2, but you are welcome to stay and play on the playground until the gates lock at 4:30.

Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate the Eclipse with us! The clouds didn’t fully cooperate, but we hope everyone had a great time!

Feeling crafty? Come join us on April 8th from 1pm-4pm for Eclipse themed crafts. An Eclipse themed button is the perfect souvenir to remember this momentous occassion!

Are you ready to join us for the Eclipse on April 8th? We will have games, crafts, rides and other activities starting at 1pm and ending at 4pm. You can purchase tickets at the ticket booth in the ride area or at the Carousel Gift Shop by the lake. They are $.25 each or $2.00 for 10. They are good for the items listed here. The arcade will also be open, so make sure to bring your quarters! We look forward to seeing you on the 8th!

A quick note that we will resume nightly gate closures as we prepare for the summer season beginning Friday, April 5. Going forward, until May 25, our gate schedule will be open Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm.

Our phone lines have been restored and our credit card machines are now operational. All rides are currently open today!
This will be our last weekend for Water Wars. Water Wars will be open this weekend until we are out of water-balloons.

Midway's phone lines are currently down. The credit card machines in the Ticket Booth and Mini-golf are also down until the issue is resolved. Please plan accordingly as the Ticket Booth and Mini Golf are currently cash-only (Concessions operates an ATM in the Arcade). Water Wars is currently our only ride closure, everything else is open!

Midway is open today! Due to weather the current ride closers are:
Tugboat Paddlers, Tidal-Wave, Tilt-a-Whirl, Go-Carts, Fun-Slide and Water-Wars. The listed rides will re-open if conditions improve but that is unlikely based on todays forecast.
Arcade and Mini-golf remain open. Lightning will close all rides and mini-golf for 30 minutes.

Updates: The maintenance issue has been resolved and Go-Carts are now open!
The Ferris Wheel has been temporarily closed for safety due to sustained winds, we will continue to evaluate the weather re-open the Ferris wheel if the conditions permit.
No other ride closures at this time.

Representatives from the National Amusement Park Historical Association (NAPHA) will visit Midway on Saturday, July 29. At 11 am, they give a history talk and present a plaque recognizing Midway's history in western New York and Bemus Point. Read the full announcement here:

Update: The Tidal Wave was up and running yesterday and today! We are currently waiting on a part for the Tidal Wave, so it will not be operational on Saturday July 22, 2023 and Sunday July 23, 2023. We'll update you as soon as it's running again!

Go-Carts are now open! They were briefly closed this morning for maintenance.
Unfortunately our credit card machines in the gift shop and office are currently down, we do not expect that issue to be resolved until Monday. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The ticket booth and Mini-Golf are still accepting credit cards for wristbands and ride tickets. Additionally concession's operates an ATM in the arcade.
