🌻 October days are here, and so are the colors 🍁🍂🧡 Driving around … where are you spotting fall? 🌾 For us, it’s the view of the Flag Bridge in the —where the colors change with the seasons. 🍃

M’s Bakery is a Hispanic-owned and family-owned bakery in Bend, Oregon. After graduating from a culinary school outside of Mexico City, Dario Muciño traveled the world to grow his skills before meeting his wife, Macy. Prior to Oregon, Macy and Dario operated a bakery in Southern California with the help of the Orange County SBDC.

While visiting friends in Bend, Dario and Macy fell in love with the area and felt that it was the perfect place to open the bakery they had been dreaming of. The couple dropped everything and moved from Southern California to chase their dream. When they arrived in the area, they found a small space to rent, signed up for local farmer’s markets, and started M’s Bakery.

Thanks to the help they received from the team at the Cochren & Co. and the SBA, M’s Bakery secured financing on a building in the Old Mill District, which will be opening this fall.

“Dave has been a great advisor to us and we are very excited about our opening at the iconic Old Mill District in Bend. We have a beautiful story of a dream and persistence as my husband is an immigrant to the US and started his business with the large help from the SBA and SBDC.”

Once their new brick-and-mortar location is open, M’s Bakery plans to host monthly baking workshops for adults and kids.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon is bringing the laughs with their 27th annual Comedy For Kids' Sake at the Tetherow Pavilion on Saturday, Oct. 4. This jam-packed event will feature a 3-course dinner, silent and live auctions, inspiring stories, and of course, top-tier comedy! 🎙️ This year’s comedian is Andrew Sleighter, who’s performed on Last Comic Standing, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Comedy Central, and The Late Late Show with James Corden.
