In honor of our 5th year anniversary, Ab's Hair Studio is presenting a raffle giveaway of $250 credit for salon services or a free Silk Press & Trim service.

Raffle entries for the $250 credit will be $10 per ticket. Raffle entries for the Silk Press & Trim service will be $5 per ticket. The deadline for ticket entries is Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Wow! Today marks five years since I opened Ab's Hair Studio, and it has been a journey. Five years ago, when I ventured to open Ab's Hair Studio, I envisioned not just doing hair but significantly impacting people's lives. I already knew that the journey would be rife with challenges and detours. However, I should have considered how much each and every one of you would positively impact my ability and drive towards overcoming and navigating those challenges and detours.
 
The truth is, these past five years have taught me that the journey of an owner can be incredibly challenging and rewarding, but in the end, the people you serve are who make it worth it. Your words of encouragement, loyalty, and grace as Ab's Hair Studio has had to navigate pricing changes, pandemic protocols, hair stylist attrition, and even fluctuating operational hours have served as a beacon of hope and energy as I look to the future.
 
After digging, I found statistics showing that nearly 20% of Black Owned Businesses fail within the first year of opening. As we complete year five, all of you have helped me exponentially defy the odds of business ownership, and I recognize that there is no Ab's Hair Studio without you.
 
So as Ab's Hair Studio celebrates five years of operations and service to the community, I want to thank you all for your commitment and consistency in helping us succeed. I specifically thank every customer who has ever walked through Abs Hair Studios' front door. I thank you for every dollar you have spent, every ounce of trust you have put in our talents, and every moment we have shared. Yet, more than anything, I thank you all for the culture and environment you have helped me create inside our walls; a family culture that is inviting, inclusive, and prosperous with love.
 
With great joy, excitement, and anticipation, I look toward another five years of operations and service to you and our community. However, more than anything, I look forward to more fellowship and growth within the Ab's Hair Studio customer base, culture, and family.
