Benson is well represented this week at US Women's Open at Pebble Beach.

Former Benson Golf Club employee Cole Petrick (Right) serves at an Assistant Superintendent at Pebble Beach and manages The Hay 9 hole course.

Benson native Joy (Puchalski) Negen (Left) is Assistant Superintendent at Cimarron Hills Golf and CC in Georgtown, TX.

Sally (Center) is our General Manager/Superintendent here at the BGC.

Joy and Sally are at the USWO with the Women in Turfgrass. The program has sent approximately 35 women from all over the US to the USWO for the past 3 years. Their mission is to ignite the interest of females to pursue a creer in the turf industry.

Please help us welcome our new Athletic Director, Jill Lipp! Jill has experience coaching a wide variety of sports, including track and field, soccer, gymnastics, volleyball, and basketball. In addition to her coaching experience, Jill has also developed strong relationships with students, staff, families, and businesses throughout her career.
We are thrilled to have Jill join our team and look forward to the many contributions she will make as our new Activities Director.

Activities Director, Full time – Benson Public Schools

Benson Public Schools is seeking a full time Activities Director. The Activities Director is a positive promoter of all activities and provides innovative leadership to district activities. The Activities Director supervises and evaluates coaches and advisors, ensures all activity event arrangements are complete, prepares the activities budget, recruits student-athletes and coaches/advisors, and attends numerous events. This positional also includes Dean of Student duties as well as work with Community Education activities. Candidates who are positive, organized, good role models, and passionate about community, sports, and activities will receive high consideration. Update
Swift County Sheriff's Office advises No Travel. Heavy snow is building on the roads making it extremely difficult to drive with some roads seeing up to 3 to 5 inches of snow on top of slush. Winds make visibility less than a quarter mile. Current weather conditions make it unsafe to drive. If you're on the roads and get stuck, there will be limited response. Multiple vehicles are in the ditch.

Weather update 3-31-23
Go figure, more bad weather for Swift County in a winter that refuses to end. Rain is quickly turning to sleet and slush. Roads are getting very slippery and will only get worse. Use caution when driving.
