The Berkeley City Council has approved $150,000 in emergency funding for Aurora Theatre Company. This was a necessary but not in itself sufficient piece of the challenge to keep Aurora from shutting down this summer. Our campaign is still ongoing. Thank you to the 1,833 people who signed the petition. Thank you to Council Member Sophie Hahn for introducing the item for this funding, to Council Member Humbert for signing on as co-sponsor, to Mayor Arreguín for including the funding in his proposed budget, and to the entire Council for making this happen.

Aurora is a vital part of the fabric of this community. Please continue to spread the word and support this organization in its time of need.
