Our Story

Alabama Adventure & Splash Adventure were purchased March 2014 by the Koch Family. The family of Dan Koch and his mother, Mrs Koch, have been in the amusement park business for over 72 years. Their family actually opened the first theme park in the world in Indiana in August 1946.

Since purchasing the parks they have and continue to work hard to restore the grounds and attractions as to provide a safe, family-friendly place for guests to get away and enjoy a day of fun and relaxation. Each year they grow or improve the park as budget allows. I am thrilled to be living and working in this community,” said Dan Koch. “Our family wants Alabama Adventure & Splash Adventure to be the number one choice for family fun and family memories for generations to come.”

Alabama Adventure & Splash Adventure, comprised of 89 acres, is both an amusement and water park that delivers wet and dry attractions for one low price. The parks provide numerous slides, thousands of gallons of water, exciting waves, lazy rivers, the Rampage Roller Coaster, and plenty of rides for young and old alike. Visitors can create fun their own way, whether it’s relaxing by the wave pool and enjoying the lazy river or amping up the excitement with monster slides, riding Rampage and a list of other rides and attractions throughout our parks.
