The Swazi 5k is almost here and we can't wait to participate!

Join people from all ages over central Oklahoma who come to run, walk or cycle to raise funds for needed ministries in Eswatini, Africa (formerly Swaziland) right here in Bethany! The Swazi 5k is one of the ways that Bethany First Church supports ministries like the HIV/Aids Taskforce and Haven of Hope in Eswatini, and the Bethany After School Program.

Some important information for your Sunday morning!

The City of Bethany has closed southbound Mueller from NW 39th to NW 41st in order to complete an important sewage line repair. This impacts traffic flow, crosswalks, and handicapped accessible parking for our Sunday morning services.

Please avoid driving on Mueller from NW 41st to NW 39th, if possible. The west parking lot will only be accessible via car along N Willow and at N Mueller & NW. Handicapped parking will be reserved in the Family Life Center parking lot with golf carts available for transportation to building entrances.

The BFC After School Program is hiring individuals who are enthusiastic about creating a safe and fun space for elementary and middle school students to go after school while their parent or guardian is still at work. Several positions are available for Front Desk staff and Group Leaders.

Front Desk staff facilitate the pickup process for the program and are key communicators with parents/guardians throughout the year. Group leaders provide the primary supervision of students and facilitate program activities. We had a BLAST meeting new students and their families at the Southern Nazarene University New Student Institute Fair!

These new students and their families will be joining us in our 11am service tomorrow, too. Let’s welcome them with open arms together!

We love getting to celebrate life change in our world and community! Baptism is one of the ways that we get to celebrate as people declare their internal change because of the Work of Christ! On August 25th, we get to celebrate baptism again!

Fall soccer at the brand-new Family Life Park is almost here! We would love to see your family out there on the fields!

We are thrilled to announce the start of our fall soccer programs for Mighty Mites (ages 3-4) and our Soccer League (ages 5-11)! For the first time, both programs will be playing simultaneously at our brand-new Family Like Park, and we can't wait for your kids to be a part of it. Register by August 18, space is limited.

Summer is such a blast!!

BFC Kids, Preteens, and Youth have had an awesome time at Camp Bond this summer for camps! We know that our kids and students have enjoyed learning more about God, making new friendships, and having a ton of FUN!

We will see you next year for camp!

Baptism Sunday is always one of the best Sundays! Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change because of the Work of Christ! It is an important step in our walk of faith and we cannot wait to celebrate baptism as a church community in August!

Wednesdays in June were absolutely amazing! BFC Kids had a blast "Starting the Party," creating lasting memories and new friendships. We are already counting down the days until next year!

Daniel Griffith’s connection to BFC Recreation’s sports leagues spans over 30 years and includes a variety of roles from playing children’s baseball, youth softball, and later men’s softball; coaching kids baseball and basketball; and now serving as baseball commissioner.

Daniel shares “A lot of my best memories of being on a ball field have happened at BFC. Playing ball, coaching kids, and having the chance to watch my kids play on the same ball field I did growing up have been special moments in my life.

The opportunity to merge my faith and passion for baseball is why I love being involved. My time growing up in the church playing baseball guided me to help youth learn how to play baseball and set an example of how to be a faithful follower of Christ."

Daniel’s experience highlights the unique role that recreation plays in connecting sports and faith. As the 2024 BFC Recreation Baseball season end approaches, we are thankful for our amazing coaches and volunteers like Daniel who use their passion for sports and faith for God's Kingdom!
