On June 8th, memories were made at the reception of James & Shannon. The weather was outstanding. Cold sparks and clouds highlighted their first dance that led to sentimental parent dances.
Following a delicious dinner, guests participated in a longest married dance, bouquet toss and boutonniere toss. A mix of 70's pop rock with current country selections as well as hits from the 2000's kept the dance floor busy. The guests even requested a few line dances for entertainment. I was only able to capture a few photos but they speak volumes.

Event: St. Louise 8th Grade Graduation Reception

Congratulations Class of '24. I have entertained for their 5th & 6th grade games nights as well as their 7th & 8th grade Teen Center dances. The Graduation Reception was a fantastic way to culminate my time with them. Festivities for the night included a delicious dinner, enjoyable slide show and lots of singing & dancing.

A fantastic day for a wonderful couple. On April 16th, I had the pleasure of providing ceremony and reception services for Andrew & Sarah Goughnour at the lovely Armstrong Farms. Simply said...the ceremony was beautiful, and the reception ROCKED! The dance floor was packed the entire night. Family and friends united to celebrate...and celebrate they did. I thoroughly enjoy the gigs with the St. Louise students. On this occasion, it was a carnival theme for the 5th/6th graders. The kids enjoyed a cotton candy booth, a hot dog & pizza booth, a variety of carnival skill games and dancing to a mix of current pop favorites. Actually...I played seven (that's right 7)...Taylor Swift songs and they danced to each one.

"In the Mix" for four hours...old school hip-hop, new school R-n-B, current country favorites and some rap classics. I always welcome the opportunity to put on my Club DJ hat and provide a strong mix of songs that keep them dancing. No bell and whistles...just the right songs at the right time. The ladies danced...the ladies sang...the ladies had fun.

Special Thanks to Samantha Glunt (Owner) and my beautiful daughter Riley (Stylist) for entrusting my service. Congratulations to Julia James Salon for a successful year. I hope to celebrate with the staff again in 2024.

Elegant, Exciting, Entertaining...yes, the WOW factor was in full effect for Ryan & Mia's wedding reception. Their anticipation to be married made the planning process fun. I am confident I was just as hyped as they were for a night to remember.

The Steamfitters Venue is extravagant. Complete with a huge digital display board in the gallery, vaulted ceilings, spacious concreted fire-pits, sprawling bar and large/white dance floor. And, the food provided by Deetar Restaurant Enterprises was delicious as well.

As for the reception highlights...there were many. As a new fad, I introduced the ladies of the bridal party (Flowergirls/Bridesmaids/Matron of Honor) as well as the gentlemen of the bridal party (Ringbearer/Groomsmen/Best Man) collectively. This led to a hyped introduction for Ryan & Mia that included cold sparks. And, very unique music selections, I must add.

The mood turned sentimental with the first dance, cake cutting, toasts and meal blessing. Father of Groom-Rich Edder, Matron of Honor-Kayli Tobin & Best Man-Mark Lutz reflected on good times and provided well-wishes with their pre-dinner speeches. Guests enjoyed cupcakes for desert while Mia danced with her father-Jay Herr to "You Are My Sunshine" by Johnny Cash and Ryan danced with his mother-Judy Edder to "Loves Me Like a Rock" by Paul Simon. Again, classy music selections.

With the assistance of Ryan & Mia's song playlist, I provided a mix of music that kept the guests movin' & groovin'. It should be noted that guests included song requests on their RSVP cards prior to the reception. I loved this idea...kept the dance floor busy and guests entertained.

In April of 2021, I provided my services for Kayli (Herr) & Steven Tobin's wedding reception. As such, I am very grateful to entertain for another Herr family celebration. I am also thankful for Ryan's support and assistance throughout the planning process. His energy was contagious.

Congratulations Ryan & Mia! It was a pleasure to work & celebrate with you. The night was memorable.

A Big Hug and a Firm Handshake is what I extend to Rob & Sierra. They made the planning process a "piece of cake" and their family/friends made orchestrating the party a ton of fun. I knew the party would rock when Sierra's mother, Missy Rex, did a fancy dance with glow sticks for her formal introduction into the hall.

Reception highlights included memorable toasts by Father of the Groom-Butch Thieret, Maid of Honor-Taylor Colbert, Best Man-Ryan McGurgan and Mother of the Bride-Missy Rex. Sierra's Uncle-Jim Fox (90 years young) provided the meal invocation, as well.

Post dinner festivities commenced as Rob & Sierra shared a well-rehearsed choreographed first dance...everyone loved it.

Another special moment occurred as a result of the longest married dance. Marty & Josie (friends of Sierra) were the last couple standing at just two months shy of their 69th anniversary...WOW-Impressive.!

The mood was also sentimental as Rob & Sierra shared special dances with their mothers.

The guests also made their own memories on the dance floor by singing and dancing the night away. Check out my attached amateur photos...I was able to capture some fond memories.

It's Official. Cory, Alli and daughter Hadley became the Tetzlaw Family on 10/21/23. Relatives and friends joined to celebrate their wedding day that included a lovely ceremony (conducted by Rev. Terry Stoops) followed by an enjoyable reception at the Hampton Event Center.

With my many years in the dj biz, I can say that some of the most enjoyable receptions included limited formalities. Such was the case for Cory & Alli as their envisioned wedding day came to fruition with a brief (but poignant) ceremony and a party that included an open bar, delicious dinner, traditional first dance and parent dances. An active dance floor throughout the night was the direct result of music requests from just about every genre.

Thank You Cory, Alli and Hadley. It was a pleasure to play a small role in your wedding day. Congratulations to the new Tetzlaw Family.
