Unfortunately the boys came up short and lost a close game 4-3. They played well and are going to be scary to play in the state tournament.

No. 4 Bethel Park (15-6-1) will battle No. 2 Penn-Trafford (16-3) at 7 p.m. May 28 at Wild Things Park in Washington in the Class 5A WPIAL baseball championship.
Tickets for the game will be available at the gate or online at www.gofan.co. All tickets for the finals are $10.
Bethel Park returns to the WPIAL championships for the second year in a row and third time in four years.
Bethel Park, which has competed in 11 previous district finals, has not won a WPIAL crown since 1987. However, they have been three-time PIAA champions, winning state crowns in 1988, 2021 and 2022.

Bethel Park's Brookie Kessler has been selected to represent the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Inaugural PSFCA Big 33 HS Girls Flag Football Tournament later this month in conjunction with the 67th Annual Big 33 Football Classic!
The two-day tournament will showcase the best Girls Flag Football athletes in the states of Pennsylvania and Maryland and will conclude with a Championship on Sunday, May 26, at Cumberland Valley High School’s Chapman Field before the Big
33 Football Classic, also between PA and MD.
According to the event's organizers, Brooke was selected because she is an excellent athlete with strong academic standing and because she possesses the qualities of a well-rounded leader with exceptional character.
The tournament's organizers promise to turn this tournament into an annual event that will be among the best of its kind in the country.

We are trying something new. Who does not like cash. For those of you that joined us for our cash bash fundraiser last year. We sold different size sure tip boards for various cash prize amounts.
We are going to do this via Facebook live. When the tip board is all sold. We will post a picture of the back of sure tip with name assigned to each number. It’s with a heavy heart that the Bethel Park Athletic Hall of Fame has to report that Officer Ron Evans has passed away. Officer Evans was a friend to all and a pillar of our community. We’ll post more details soon, please keep Ron’s family in your prayers.
It’s been more than 30 years since we’ve had a team make it this far in the state tournament. Coach Calabria has these guys playing smothering defense.
After upset wins over Hershey and Fox Chapel Area, the Bethel Park boys basketball team (15-13) has made a Cinderella run to the state quarterfinals. Friday (3/15), the Hawks will face Moon Area (24-3) at Chartiers Valley at 7 p.m.

PIHL sets Penguins Cup playoff matchups | Trib HSSN Peters Township, South Fayette and Ringgold will be out to defend their crowns as the PIHL Penguins Cup playoffs get into full swing Monday and Tuesday.
We told you how special this team was at the beginning of the season and they did not disappoint. The majority of the team made it to day two, several wrestlers medalled, and we have our 5th ever WPIAL champion, Mason Kernan!!!!!
Mason joins, Mark Breidl, Nino and Nick Bonaccorsi, and Adam Lazenga as WPIAL Champions. Way to go Mason!

Bethel Park sends 11 varsity wrestlers to compete at the WPIAL Championships this Friday, March 1. The action begins at 4:30 p.m. at Canon-McMillan High School. Come support the Black Hawks wrestling team as they aim to advance their successful season to the state championships in Hershey.

Two of your junior high Black Hawks wrestlers, Mathis Miller (8th grade, 160 lbs) and Maxx Meussner (9th grade, 136 lbs), placed fifth at the Keystone State Junior High Qualifier. As a result, they have advanced to the Pennsylvania state championship tournament, which will take place from March 15-17 at Santander Arena in Reading.
