What a great event!
Deep gratitude for these amazing therapists (and a few who couldn’t make it). We went to yoga today to celebrate the end of my treatment. Working with these people made me feel like myself during my hardest days. I will be forever grateful for their compassion, kindness and excellent sense of humor.

🚨 PSA - this image keeps getting stolen and shared all over the internet. If you see it with our logo cropped out or without attribution to , will you please tag AND DM us?? We created it years ago, and it’s one of our favorites. And yes, those are my {Megan’s} thumbs...I’ve gotten made fun of allllll over various posts for how old they look, but as a proud 41 year old mama, that’s just how they look 🤷♀️

We can laugh about how true this is, but it actually helps us understand our kids’ eating - and maybe our own - a little bit better. You see, fruits and veggies can be unpredictable. You don’t get the same texture, flavor or appearance each time when you eat fresh produce like you do with crackers, veggie straws, goldfish or puffs. It’s inconsistent, and for a reluctant eater…it’s a risk. You don’t know what you’re getting yourself into.
•
Your blueberry might have the perfect texture and flavor…or it could be sour, overripe and disgusting 😭😱🤢 It’s no wonder kids can become hesitant to eat produce.
•
Of course, this is just one of the reasons kids can struggle to eat their veggies and fruits, but we hope it helps you understand where they’re coming from. They’re not trying to be difficult - they’re struggling and still learning. It takes time. Here are some tips:
•
1) If you have a crunch lover, experiment with freeze dried fruits and veggies. They can help kids who crave that crunch enjoy more produce foods.
•
2) Don’t stop serving veggies and fruits, but stick to a teeny tiny amount on the tray or plate. One or two blueberries is a great place to start if they’re reluctant to try them.
•
3) Try to w**d out any produce that might be overripe, bruised or mushy like you would do for yourself. {This isn’t about neurotically searching for the perfect blueberry 😂😰 Simply pull the ones that you wouldn’t want to eat yourself because they’re too ripe.} These make great smoothie ingredients.
